Respawning #%&#%#%

<div class="IPBDescription">possible racist hives</div> Ok just about every time I die I end up waiting a ridiculous amount of time to spawn.

If I die alone and no one else dies I end up with the black screen and DEAD by my name for way longer than I should. Honestly it takes me a solid minute to respawn, whereas people dying well after me are spawning way before I do

Whats up with that? its been happening so often to me today and yesterday. Its faster to F4 and then rejoin the team to spawn than it is to wait and respawn for me. I really dont understand it, I'm a liability to my team because of it, and I cant find out why its happening to me.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm forced to assume the hives are racist and are making me wait because im black.

EDIT: and I am pressing jump and fire and every other key inbetween.

    its happened to me too. its faster to f4 and come back. your screen fades to black and ppl are respawning that died after you.

    it happened to me once, the screen just went black. now i was a little concerned that it was prejudiced against me because the rest of my team were part of the clan who owned the server.

    i whined for a sec, they told me to f4 and back in, problem solved, and i havent seen that issue since, even on the same server.

    If you have died first and then some of your other teams died but you didn't spawn first, chances are that you might have encounter a very small bug. It usually happens to me. Your screen will go black for longer then usual and you will still be able to chat with your team using text. When that happens just hit F4 and rejoin that team.

    This just happened to me practically every time I died in a clan match

    I had to F4 multiple times as alien losing all my res. I couldnt even carapace myself half the time

    it's known that some hives are bigotted.

    it's actually a fast-spreading epidemic.
    hives will often burn sensory chambers outside marine bases during the wee hours of the night.

    Huh, i've had that happen a few times when i first got NS, but after i learned to tap a few keys after dying, it hasn't happened since.

    heard about this bug early on in NS... tapping crouch a few times fixed it, had to do with something about dying while crouched.

    If you randomly hit a few buttons after you die (I like the fire button, menu, jump and crouch) you should spawn in something like a normal amount of time.

    Unless you have all been lying, I am certain your problem is that the server you are on doesn't have forced respawn activated. Just press fire once, or twice if you are paranoid.

    It is kinda funny that you CSers don't know about the Quake Roots (Pun intended) of NS.

    As far as I can see, you need to press fire to trigger a respawn. If you don't, you'll respawn only if noone else is in the queue. This can be handy, as anyone AFK doesn't clog up the respawn queue too much.

    Also, if you join from the readyroom, you jump straight to the head of the respawn queue; lamers sometimes exploit this. I did submit this as a bug to the bug forum, but the moderator didn't accept it.

    Something nasty i've experienced a few times is if someone is on a Phase-Gate, and i spawn through, i end up the one being tele-fragged...i think it should be the other way around...
