I Build Faster Than Other People?

I've begun to notice that I seem to build things faster than most other people, something close to 1.5 to 2 times as fast. Is this one of those "fps bugs"? I would think that it wouldn't be just me, I've only got a GeForce2. I have my FPS up at max, either 72 (if the server enforces that max like some do) or 100, but I don't see other people that build as fast as me and I would expect that I'm not the only one on a server with a high FPS.
This is only noticed while being a Marine, I don't Gorge much so I don't know if its the same when I'm an alien.

That will probably change in v1.1.
i just found a reason to go buy a new spiffy video card <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Heh, now I realize why I could never control jetpacks as well as other people I had seen. Whenever I hold down the jump button I slam my head into the ceiling. Getting anywhere without killing myself was practicing how to tap, tap, tap the jump key so I bounced along a hallway. Totally opposite of Lerk flying, which is what I was used to. LAnding without killing myself was a chore. Like playing that old Mac game, Lunar Landing (or something.)
So, what would people suggest I cap my FPS at for now, to get more "reasonable" build rates, adren regen, and jetpack accelleration?

Adren regen rate is unaffected.
Jetpack energy regen is unaffected as well. Someone with 100 fps will go back up to full fuel from zero in the same time someone with 10 fps will. Jetpack <i>thrust</i> is what's affected. Someone with low fps has to hold the jump key to even get off the ground, while a one second burst will send someone with 100 fps hurtling into the ceiling.
Muahahah, ph33r the ultra-fast builder.. o_o
Your hive's will never be safe again, either!

Sadly that's not true, a person with 100 fps actually doesn't even lose fuel from continous flying. I've seen players show me while chatting, they're still up there 5-10 minutes after the start still just happily thrusting into the ceiling

Yup. Pretty much every thing related to the Half-Life engine is tied to FPS.
Firing rates.
Adrenaline regen rate.
Build times.
Jet pack regen.
How many apples you need to make a pie.
How tall you are.
Your cousin's dog's name.
The weather.
How much is linked to being only 3 feet away from the server through a 100Mbit ethernet cable I don't know, but maybe the phat computer helps too <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I agree though it should be the same for all, it's annoying as comm seeing someone take hours to build stuff when "I could have done it all by now" <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
AFAIK it will be fixed in 1.1
I think Flayra said as much elsewhere. Do a search.
