<div class="IPBDescription">like the High FPS models for CS</div> Hi,
I have a reuqest for you modellers/skinners (dont know who is responsible <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ) out there:
I want to hide the weapon i'm using, so i tried the hl-setting
r_drawviewmodel 0
and it workes that the weapon was not shown any more...
but the problem is:
parts of the hud, the radar, the upgrades and the motion-tracking are invisible, too.
so my reuest would be to make some models which are just invisible (perhaps with a small inconspicuously mark so that you know which weapon you're using) like the "High FPS models" for counterstrike (available @ <a href='http://gamma.nic.fi/~amaki/models/' target='_blank'>http://gamma.nic.fi/~amaki/models/</a> )...
P.S.: Perhaps someone also knows an alternative solution ?!
Thanks, mistag! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Comments
but then i saw that all the cs-weapon-models
have different sizes...
But I still have small questions:
1. Whats the difference between e.g. the v_welder.mdl and the v_welder_hv.mdl files ??
2. Would you also be kicked from a cs server which has mp_consistency 1 and you're using the cs-high-fps models or is the different sizes the reason that you don't get kicked ??
2. v_welder.mdl is the regular view for the marine, v_welder_hv.mdl is the welder view for the HA.
2) I think consistency refers to a model's bones and compares it to the original. On some weapons that consistency doesnt allow any difference from the original (such as the world model of the P90 in CS.. hey dont kill me because I still remember CS <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->) While others can afford to have quite a difference. I think this has been made during the CS betas to stop spiked models (for example, you'd see someone hiding on the other side of a wall due to spikes on his body that give aways his position)
There are two levels of consistency checks, I think. The #1 stops spiked models (explained in 2) so you can't use a sort of wallhack. While the #2 restricts only the original by some way.
Oh, and shame on you who wants invisible models :o We all know you want invisible skulk teeth <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
v_welder_hv.mdl is the welder view for the <b>Heavy Armor</b> <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--><!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->?
(it's probably not heavy armor but sorry i don't know what you mean <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> - does it mean third person ??)
Download this <a href='http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/files/hlmv125.zip' target='_blank'>http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/fi...les/hlmv125.zip</a>
and you can open up the model file and see what I'm talking about.
