Tampere is a cozy city of ~200 000 inhabitants. Often called the "Manchester of Finland" it has its roots in the industrialization period which shows in the common use of red brick in architecture, and old factories even in the downtown. Many of them have been put to new use as offices, shops and such, but there is still one operational perched over the ford crossing the city, right next to the main street. Practically the second largest city of Finland (Giant suburbs of Helsinki are treated as cities and one of them is ~10 000 larger) it is like the capital in a smaller package. Me likes.
I am from the West Side of Vancouver of British Columbia, which of course is in Canada. Do Americans gets 22 Minutes or Canadian Air Farce(the TV show)?

For those that don't have the pleasure of living in central Canada during the winter, I am happy to report that this morning it was -28 degrees C with a wind chill of -45. It is sunny today, but we expect 2 more days of snow this week.
On the other hand, by July it will be +30 C with a humidex in the 40's. Go figure.
