    Play against the POD-bots then.
    99% of the time, Counter-Strike online is tedious and dull.
    And that remaining 1% is when you get to beta test the next version
    and play with the new guns and/or equipment.

    Tried what? Beta testing Counter-Strike 1.6?
    Of course I've tested it as I posted TFC pics
    of the new teleporters and there's several CS 1.6b
    pics on my website.

    If you're refering to playing with POD-bots... then
    yeah i've done that quite a bit too. I'm going to
    redownload the source-code with I get my C++
    reinstalled and have a browse at the code. See
    if any of it can be used for Natural-Selection.

    Although I still haven't got a clue what you meant by your

    The problem with CS is that it was SO good that every idiot wanted to play it.

    NS is even more good, but it's good in a way that doesn't appeal to the average idiot. I hope.

    CS over LAN can be really funny especially if you fool around, like:
    - knife matches while 1 is in a vehicle and the other team is on foot,
    - or 1 in a vehicle driving towards a tunnel, the others standing on top of the tunnel jumping down trying to hit the vehicle and then kill him with a knife,
    - or just 2 teams who must stay in the vehicles at all times. = vehicles are fun <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm gonna have to go to that LAN cafe in town.... simply for
    the experience. I remember hooking my cousin;s laptop upto my
    PC via an RJ-45 crossover cable and playing some DoD and CS with him.

    It's always nice to see the person's reaction when you swear at them because

    if you live on the same floor as them, it's just as much fun to hear them running up to you to tell just how unbelievably #$% or cheap your shot was. Or actual violence resulting from AWP whorage. It's a great community, really ;-)

    People yelling across the hall "you ****!" is also pretty funny, and clues everyone in to join the floor server for a "friendly" game of counterstrike.

    Lately they've all been playing C&C: Generals.

    As for pubs.. I try not to stick out, they don't do much to me.

    The dumbest thing I ever did was go 25-4 and not change servers. I was suicide charging them, and taking 4 out with the MP5.. really really bad players. The admin threatened to ban my cheating ****, but then I realized I wasn't playing on a challenging server and found one where I went 1:1.

    Would you believe me if I said I've never recieved any kind of positive remark in a CS game...ever? Never heard a 'nice shot' or anything. Its always 'OMG LAAAAME!'

    meh, I ahte CS also, HOWEVER

    there are a few good pubs out there.
    Amuzingly enugh I reinstalled CS just before NS came out. First pub I join I get oqned (well duh, havn't played in some time).

    Start tooling around with weapons, realize I love the AUG and start working from there.
    Found another good (much better then me) person and stuck around with him. FN FUN!!



    next map I joined consisted of 6 blocks in a square room. I quit.
