    the feel seems very uniform though out
    some one is gonna say more contrast but i think its great!

    Very nice work! But why was pic 7 focussed entirely on a blue light that is in NS.wad anyway?

    i think the problem is that all the lava is around, and its giving off that red light. yes?
    Well, maybe it should give off a more yellowish light. Thats my only suggestion to an otherwise nice looking map. well done <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah I was thinking I might make my own lava/ore type liquid. Seen as Iron ore is more red than yellow I chose the red lighting to stick in the lava (Yes it is a map which is focused around mining...but not directly or intenionally to start off)

    Yeah I wasn't supposed to include that one...I just picked out the best ones from my collection and "Somehow" that thing got into it. Oh well shows that Fam has done a good job with the main light and the overlay <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    These shots look sweet! The brush work is great ... the only thing I might change is to have more shadows ... in the first few pics the lighting is a bit too even. Although I do notice how it seems to get darker around the alien areas.

    Can't wait to play it!

    Try using an overlay for those monitors, they look kind of weird all fullbright like that.

    very nice. I'm hoping I'm seeing wrong, cause it looks like alot of open areas/rooms. This = skulk pwnage = lopsided map. If I'm right, and it is open, maybe consider adding some pipes ets to break up the open spaces? Other than that. nice work.

    They are overlays from the official wads, and I also had to create my own for r25_monitor2.
    The open areas are to help make a marine friendly environment, I've also made it skulk friendly with the darkness. We'll just have to wait for playtesting to see if it works out.

    pic number 4. On the left side, the monitors look very nice. On the right side (around the corner) they have the full bright look. You see what I mean? Maybe it's the angle or something.

    BigDLXT: It was because my overlay texture...well I didn't cut all of it out. It's been fixed now though, within the last 2hours I did alot of mapping. Done the North exit of the Geothermal Processing where a hive will be located just round the corner. More screenshots today or tomorrow. Oh and if your french I post my updates also on NS-FR.

    Shloom: I aprreciate that comment, but all being said and done...even if it was official map material the v1.1 deadline has passed.

    It seems a bit biased toward the aliens, from the pics I saw, it was mostly dark areas in cramped spaces.

    Well I noticed that...my second post of NS Defiance (somewhere on the forums) has less squares.

    Looks good, but a bit cramped.
    And the lava or what ever it is should emit a lot more light.

    I also suggest adding wires to places near those consoles and pipes running around the ceiling.

    Panther way ahead of you on the wires.

    The lava was originally alot brighter, but because of the light coming from below to make it look more realistic it ended up making the map look like arrggghh....disgusting and almost white in most places with light.
