free good blocker
Ok i have had this problem for a while now and i have gotten like 20 different pop up blockers and so far none ofthem work. So does anyone know of a good pop up blocker?
Personally no, but a mate of mine was web surfing yesterday and got hit with a pop-up advertising...anti-pop up software. I can't figure out if this was a moment of pure genius or insanity on the part of the company that makes that software

I prefer the hosts file trick and the Opera browser. The 1st stops many advertisements (even a hefty number of banner ads) from even being downloaded, and the 2nd kills popups that do get loaded before they can appear.
www.smartin-designs.com for info on the hosts file trick (possible in every version of Windows I can think of) www.opera.com for the Opera browser (there are other browsers with the same popup-killing function, but Opera's simply the one I've had the best experiences with overall)
