Getting To Know The Moderators!

It's quite frustrating to see what <i>looks</i> like good topics go down way too quickley... so I'd like to hear from the mods! You know, get to know what kind of stuff you like/don't like in here and in the real world. I have been here since before the release, but I don't really know you guys! That kind of stuff! Reading profiles are stale and un-uptodate most of the time.
Me, I'm a 3rd year comp sci student... just got into making maps last year, normally very mellow chump that gets cranky when people abuse their power for no good reason. I'd rather fix a problem than create one (fixes that create problems therefore annoy the heck out of me... yes I'm a programmer... yes I hate programming sometimes! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->). I play NS more often than I should (once a day it seems) and first learned of the game on Planet Halflife in september (seen stuff about it before then, but never payed attention to it until I heard about the RTS elements) I listen anything but rap and pop (but hear it anyway thanks to my roommates!). <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Locking posts is done two ways. While in the topic, you can click a scroll down menu for moderator options, then "submit", and the option is always available as you're replying to a post in a similar pull-down menu.
I'm the Natural-Selection Team Captain for my clan, KIR, (www.immortalrealm.org) so I play almost every day.
I saw a blurb on PHL about 2 years ago... I think it was 2 years... time passes by pretty quickly. At any rate... I was on mids at work, so I had nothing better to do than hang around the forums.
This is the first mod (or game for that matter) where I've been involved with the community... much to my surprise, it's always been a warm, welcoming group of people, and I intend to keep it that way. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Spyder got that first one down, a few clicks at most, but stuff that can't (unfortunately) be done by accident.
If I don't get at least a game or two in everyday, I feel deprived. Unless Im out with the girlfriend, she's the only one that can break the spell!
I heard about NS about.. just under 2 years ago now I guess. I saw some pictures of the Bast readyroom, my jaw dropped and I ran on over. The first gameplay video had just been released, and Flayra was in need of a mirror for it. At the time, I had one of my many amazing hosts, so I just threw it up, and handed him the link to put on the site <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Never been in a community this much before, I was heavily invovled with TFC and my clan, but that's as close to any game I have been.
Music, hmm, if it's not country or heavy rap, I'll listen to it. I'm kinda like Spyder, no real preference.
