<div class="IPBDescription">On the map with hive location viaduct</div> on the map with the great viaduct hive location, it has like 4 vents near the entrances, and a huge amount of space.
lerks and maybe some other species might want to use this advantage. remeber, there is a long catwalk above the viaduct hive, you can only get there as lerk or skulk. IF your REALLY good with FADE, you migght actually be able to blink up there, but it's hard...
Now, to the main point:
BLOCK THAT DANM RED ROOM ALIENS!!!!!!
the red room is located inside the vent, at 1 of the vents at the entrances of viaduct.
the red room is a vent, so gotta crouch or skulk to get in there
after gonig thru the vent, you'll have to fly or crawl or jetpack (i think) to get to the big red room. In the red room, it's big enough to fit a marine base. i think it's enuff room to build a comm chair, infrantry portals, turret fact, turrets, and maybe a bit more.( i'm thinking a lot more?)
Why sholud aliens build stuff here to block marines from coming in here?
reason #1: Marines can set up a base here, spawn here, and incredibly gain defense advantages. HOw? becuase of a bit small space, turrets can block any aliens from coming in. there's no way to hide from the turrets, there's no wall or shelter to block their fire. plus, the marines that are getting out of the base and into viaduct can kill you , cuase the vent is long, and long stuff is the marines advantage.
Reason # 2: they can rush viaduct easily from there, cause it's at the entrance of viaduct.
Reason # 3: If you hadn't killed their main base yet, they can come from anywhere now. from the vent , and now the main entrances. gotta watch out aliens.
REASON # 4: OUCH, that must not be good for aliens. if the marines build siege in there, scan and kill your oc and stuff defending the viaduct entrance, it's no problem for marines to kill viadduct now that the alien defences are gone.
How to block the red room:
EASy for aliens, just get in there, gorge, and build oc and stuff in there. Oh yeah, and the red room is a good 'hospital/supply room'' for aliens cause you can build oc, dc, and all the othe chambers in there, meaning they're all safe until the marines come in, which does;nt happen very much becuase like i said, there's no room for you to hide from oc/turrerts in there. So keep your chambers in there, asnd you can have a long time to keep your upgrade buildings.

can marines siege the red room from outside?
CAn anyone confirm this?

Yes, if a siege is built right near the top of the elevator leading into Generator they can siege red room. I'm not 100% positive it will siege ALL of red room (the back portion may live), but it certainly does what it needs to do to allow marines to get in there.

My typical red room defense consists of 4 defense chambers in the alcoves, and 2 or more offense in the center. Web across the inside vents if I can.
