Ns_trane Weld Sequence

<div class="IPBDescription">new balancing idea</div> Hey guys,
If you have played ns_trane at all you probably know that some of the hives are hard to hold. I was playing around with some ideas and I thought about the ability of the marines to change the environment a little and make it more friendly. I made a weld sequence that involves welding up some grating for a little more protection. Let me know what you guys think.

    can skulks still run through the gratings? Could be nasty...although against fades and lerks the cage would certainly help

    You weld-close a part of the hive-room behind the hive.

    If thats NOT the central hive (the hive that between the other 2 hives) thats a problem for aliens because this hive becomes too perfect for marines.
    If its the central hive its perfect. If Marines get it then, they won the game (no longer 2h games because marines win slowly).

    Turning Hives into "Subspace hives" just by welding does not kill gameplay and gives more atmosphere.

    Thanks for the comments, I did however make sure the distance that skulks have to run to get to the furthest marine in that area is still a small distance. If it becomes a problem, I can always remove it. I am adding some for the central hive as well(this hive one is not).

    I really like the idea.

    So many thing that the marines could do to interact with the map more in ns maps.. it's incredible.
    I wouldn't mind being able to completely seal a hallway with a door to protect your main base better (Other then vents like in ns_bast)

    I'd like to see some chompables too, though, just so the can have a little fun too.
