Dreams

<div class="IPBDescription">Lots of em and kinda disturbing</div>Hey, I think I must be going crazy in my dreams... I generally don't dream but in the last few weeks I've been dreaming a ton.  One dream all I could see was a porcalin girls face with vines growing across it, very mystical/serene,  but then tiny little mouths started sprouting all over her face opening to jagged spikey teeth and behind them infinite blackness.  very wierd.

Then after that I dreamed that my best friend (and first girlfriend) broke up with her boyfriend, and I hopeful that me and her could get back togather (outside of the dream, the dream seemed so real I couldn't remeber if it happened or not but it seemed like it did)  so I go into school the next day and see them togather and my heart sank.

Another wierd one that I had the night after the last one I mentioned, I dreamed one of my teachers died, and again I wasn't sure if it had happened or not.

Then 2 or 3 nights ago I dreamed I had an emotional breakdown and was trapped in my own body in the corner of my room huddled up shaking not being able to move despite trying, just shaking.

Then the dream I just woke up from about 10 minutes ago.  My other most recent girlfriend whom I love deeply still and me and a bunch of people from my school were in a crowd watching a challange of some sort, then this kid I hate who flirts with all the girls and is nice and is a condasending jerk to guys got called up to try and he grabs my ex by the hair and begins to kiss her before he goes up for the challenge,  I found myself unable to move as she looked me right in the eyes and grinnned during the kiss.  then he went up to the challange (never saw what it was in the dream, just knew there was a challange of some sort)  and I said "how could you?"  then she says "He knows how to pull a girls hair."  then I woke up

SO thats my wierd recent dream list, any thought?  anyone have there own dreams to add or anything else interesting, including but not limited to monkeys

    My dreams are as follow...

I am in a room with two doors.  There is a chair and a table and I am sitting on the chair with my hands resting on the table.  I start to twidle my thumbs, then crazy circus music plays and people I know walk into the room then walk out.

    Odd.... eh?

    (btw, I am not crazy)

My scariest recurring 'thought' is a small sound loop. It sounds like it is coming from a point somewhere around me, but when I turn to listen, it seems to come from a different point, and so on. I cannot remember the sound loop while it is not playing. When it is playing, I can instantly recognise it and it really scares me. I need to sit down after hearing it.

I am not sure what the hell it is, what it represents or what it is triggered by, but it seems to happen when I try to think too hard about a specific subject (which I also cannot remember after I hear the sounds). Repressed memories, or something else? Who knows?

Well i'm no psychiatrist Fam, but that sounds awfully like some kind of emotional barricade or defence mechanism that you have erected around that specific sound.  This is readily apparent since you can't even remember what the sound is.  A traumatic event from your childhood maybe?

i love dreams, can't remember many, though.  however, i recall one from when i was five years old.

im up on my roof with my mom, sweeping it for some reason.   a storm comes along, so i get off the roof, but my mom stays up there.  of course, she gets hit by lighting and is killed...

First off, Bacon_Bits, those dreams sound serious, you should seek advice from trusted ones, friends likely.

Fam: Just so you know, Highlander is partially right. The sound to you represents something in your life, whatever it may be, that you fear will happen to you. It is not a person, never a person. It is an event. Whatever the event may be, likely whatever fears you may be thinking of during the time the sound plays. You fear that it will come for you, but you don't know when

I had a dream that enough wax came out of my ear to fund a candle factory for a week.

    That was pretty weird.

I think dreams occur when your body isn't regaining any more energy from sleep, and so the energy is then transferred to your mind instead. It could just be me though, but generally when I oversleep, I dream, or if I take a nap, I have dreams too.

One dream I remember is repeatedly falling into an empty worldcraft grid.  That's proabably too much late night mapping rather than psychological problems though.

Does anyone else get Deja Vu where you think you've dreamed a of particular momment before that momment occured.

I get Deja Vu with exams quite alot.

One night I had a dream that I was doing a mock math exam.  I read the whole pape and worked out the answers aad everything.  When I woke up I forgot all the details and went to school to do the exam, only to instantly recognise the questions.  Unfortunatly, I couldn't remember many of the answers.

Freestyler, if you speak the truth, learn to master your abilities of the mind. You may one day rule the universe.

But that day probably won't happen, because your powers shall never exceed my own.

I find that whenever I'm under considerable stress about something, I dream about it.  I heard somewhere to watch for signs that you're under too much pressure, and apparently one of those signs is you start dreaming about the elements in your life that are causing the pressure.  I tend to dream about school a lot, but as of lately I haven't been dreaming at all.

I almost never remember my dreams. I know I have dreamt, but I just can't remember it next morning.

One of the last I remembered was very awkward. I was getting on the bus that carries me for 20 km to college every day. I gave the driver my bus card, he made one more hole on it, then looked it closely and asked me about my ID card number. I told him what it was and he said "Hey, hold on, you just won 230000 €". The driver and the rest of the bus didn't seem to notice or care about it. They had the same sleepy face they have every morning. I picked the big big pile of money he gave me (letting notes fall everywhere, as it was very big to handle) and kept on with my daily life.

    Strange.

I usualy only remeber dreams when I wake up suddenly before (as in about an hour) I'm "expecting to get up."
If I've got my alarm set to 6:30 I'm subconciously expecting to get up at 6:55 (snooze buttons should be burned they get me late) and i'm dreaming and i wake up at 5 then i'll remeber the dream.

This has lead to my own personal theory regarding dreams. When u dream it's only going through short term memeory, in most cases the sub-concious never lets it touch long term memory so u never rember. Ur sub-concious stops dreaming a couple dozen min before expected wake up time. When u wake up mid-dream ur conscious is aware of whatevers left in short-term memory and doing what ever it does it dumps the intresting parts into long-term memory there fore u rember it.

BTW has anyone else had a dream where u kinda half wake up but your dream is still "running." Those get freaky, it almost feels like a battle between ur conscious self which is trying to have fun in a ruleless world and ur
sub-conscious which still wants to get it's message across. I had one where it was raining and all of a sudden i kind of woke up (my conscious mind renturned but i was aware of my real body but i was still aslee) and i went hey i should be soaked and then it hit me i was dreaming. So i tried to fly u know cause thats fun, i started floating but then i came back to the ground, it tried to fly again and again i only went up aways. so i ended up jumping up and down very high and doing nothing use full. And it got wierder cause like i said i was aware of my real body and my sub-conscious was still giving me info on my dream body so i had one set saying it was wet and cold and another that was warm and dry but sore from sitting in one spot too long. It was REALY wierd.

yea dreams are stored for very short terms, you can sometimes have a dozen dreams in a night.  And one thing thats really wierd is when your having a dream and you figure out in your dream that it is one and you tell yourself to wake up, and you do :-P I love that

When I was five, I dreamed that I was in the middle of a jungle. There was a big couch and a T.V. in the middle of a clearing and when I sat down, Some bizarre evil looking cross between snuffuluffagus and Big Bird came out of the trees. Than it yelled "It's Snuggle time!" and started to suffocate me while biting my nails off, getting closer and closer to my fingers. Than I'd get up and run up a twirly staircase in the middle of a tree. I had this as a recurring dream with a different place at the top of each staircase up until I was 11. Somebody tell me if it's good that this stopped or bad.

bad, wierd dreams are fun,  once I had a dream I was an actor, then I turned into a werewolf you could turn into a mechanical scarab, this was when I like 10, and I dreamed during a film shoot I transformed and killed everyone else at the site then turned into the scarab burrowed through concrete and just kept slaughtering people all around the movie lot, and actully this was a really fun dream but also disturbing
