Lucky Comms?

<div class="IPBDescription">You know any?</div> I've played a couple of games recently under a certain comm. And he's always won. 'Fairplay' you say 'Good for Him', well he's a decent comm, with some wierd strats.

Firstly - Relocation ALWAYS. Again quite common but then he does this next!

Caps a res node, then defends it with TF + 4 turrets. Then caps the other hive res, then another res with TF+4 turrets. The wierd thing is no PG's or mines also no TF at base. However every time the Aliens seem to have ignored them, whenever I do this most the alien team seems to take as some sort of personal insult and takes out the RP and TF+turrets. The Aliens also NEVER rushed our new base, despite only 1 marine guarding it.

So I was wondering was this guy just really good or the aliens bad. To me it seemed the aliens were bad and put no pressure on us at all, but I've seen him do it 3 times and he won every time?

sounds to like a good strat to me, i dont get how he could have dont that withought ALOT of res, all up would add up more then 100res.

and btw, are the aliens bad ?? nope, if you saw 4 turrets and you were a skulk with no upgrades, what would you do ?

That might actually work, you have a hive, then cap another hive the skulks will havea really hard time especially if the TF are sieged. Slow but might work....

    lucky comm, bad aliens.

as alien, the first thing i do when i join the game is check out the marine main base for defences. if there is only 1 marine guarding it then get a few teammates together and easy kill off their base. the other day we had 2 hives up and marines were digged in at satcom, Turret farm style. well was getting to a stalemate, i just noticed how many marines were at satcom and as a fade just walked straight into their base, no mines, no marines, no sentrys.... No infantry portals.... killed commander when he logged out, meaning no new base could be made, then hit the phase gate as the marines were pinned in satcom.

ALWAYS marines should have sentrys/2 marines in their base at all times.

Choose a public server at random, go comm. If the players follow orders your lucky <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Otherwise when <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> show up they know who to blame, the n00b c0m|\/|@nd3R. Because they can't figure out how camping that vent in a heavy armor and heavy machine gun for the entire game could possibly be connected to them having <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> .

<!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> :y0 c0mm, u suck, how could they have onos when I've camped this vent for the entire game?

(Ok, maybe not quite that way)
BTW: The answer is: Because you camped the vent the entire game.

well when I comm I tend to notice that my troops struggle to follow my orders (if they ever actually bother to follow orders which is rare in itself), Ive seen 2 fades take out 7 lvl3/lvl3 jp/hmg-ers attacking at the same time in a very open high ceilinged place wihtout the assistance of web or ots or anything. Im just too lazy lol, maybe an army of tanks next time but my hopes are too inflated I guess.

I saw that commander was lucky that the aliens ignored your base because if just two fo them got in there they could have won the game.

Aliens were probably just not coordinated.
Everyone was doing their own "important" thing i.e. 4 gorges building o towers all overt heir main hive.
O towers are in my opinion a waste of res before you get your second hive up.
