Think Please Comms!
This is a small but sometimes vital lesson.
Comms think before you place your stuctures.
I also have this mistake, but I have learnt. I just came from a game where we were winning with a two hive lockdown and full tech, but we lost...
It was nothing(I think) and we had Silo and Via. Via was held by a PG/TF on the walkway at one of the corners. We lost it because there are so many areas that lerks can spike from without being hurt. If the comm had just put the PG 3m's away behind the corner, it would have been alot harder to take down.
TBH it was 'Invincible syndrome' that killed us not the comm. The marines had been working well together but once upgrades came (JP/HMG)they all rambo'd off not caring if they died because we had 'plenty of res'. But it might not have mattered if the comm had done this.
The ideal postion for a base is one where enemies have to be close to see it. Not always possible, but for example. Refinery is hard to hold but if you place the PG behind something it reduces the number of attacking angles by alot.
