Exploit?

I just had a guy in our server named the_bomb_almighty telling me that I was exploiting. Wanna know what I was doing? I was using umbra as lerk and spike shooting people. He told me that this is a MASSIVE advantage and that its an exploit and I should read the "book". He also called me a NOOB for being on a NOOB team. I am assuming that he is talking about the manual and that aliens is a NOOB team. Now, is this an exploit? Because if it is, then.....hell.....I don't even know what to say if it is. I go lerk to....
1) give protection to other teammate
2) kill JPers
3) spores <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Of course it's an exploit!!! Here are some other common NS exploits:

-shooting you gun when there is an alien under your crosshairs
-firing a weapon if you have ammo in your clip
-using your jump key to "fly" as a lerk or jetpacker
-clicking your mouse while over a selection icon on the commander screen
-pressing use while next to any unbuilt structure

I could go on... the number of exploits in NS is practically limitless. It's like Flay coded them in on purpose or something.

haha coil. nice one. i was pwning him as lerk. i rock as lerk. its a great alien that many dont take advantage of. if you ever see the_bomb_almight in your game, own him as lerk. he will get so mad.

about the only exploit i see....crouching in vents as marines (but basically only when you are trying to attack a crouched marine as a skull with bite)

dont forget to get regen, so if he actually does hit you, then you get your HP right back. The guy is a tard for calling that an exploit...

Here are more exploits. i bet he was doing one of them:

- Having giant hives suddenly come into existence. That gorge must have use h@x.

- Turning from an egg to an onos. Or turning to an egg. Or turning into anything, from anything. That is such a blatant model exploit. Everyone know an Onos can't fit inside a little eggy. This guy must model hack.

Dont get regen as a lerk get carapace. A carapace lerk can take a full lmg clip if he's lucky, a regen lerk is down in about 7 shots!
A carapace lerk in umbra is a real pain in the **** to the marines. return to DC or hive to heal.

Marines have to crouch in vents, it's only an exploit if you cant kill them. Killing them seems easy if you get close hold crouch while you chomp to make sure your on the floor.

I once played a game on NS_Tanith where the marines were getting pretty hammered (I was on Aliens); we destroyed their base, but they relocated to Waste Management and built a FOREST of turrets. One of their IPs was quickly taken out, but the other was well protected. Using umbra, I managed to take out the CC (which they'd foolishly built approximately where the hive normally goes), but the forest of turrets (and their full tech) still kept us at bay. Finally, I said to my team "Ok, boys we're going for the IP. I'm gonna fly in and drop an umbra on top of it; follow me and swipe the thing to pieces." I did exactly that - zoomed over the tops of the turrets, landed right between two IPs, and dropped an umbra before my feet even hit the ground. 30 seconds later, both IPs were toast.

I did a similar thing a while back. Playing on Eclipse and Maintenance was turret farmed to hell and back, but with only one TF behind the central column at the back.

As a lerk I flew in one entrance and out of the other dropping umbra on the TF as I swung by. A couple of fades blinked in as the turrets were firing at my disappearing form and swiped the TF to ikkle bits <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

spiking is a skill. it takes alot of shots. usually use a umbra/spike about 5 times/bite combo. its fun. its like my 2 acid rockets/blink at them/swipe combo. get called a cheat for that too. this game gets almost as many lamers as CS.

btw....hello no longer has admin on our server. so he cant kick anyone. but for those who play at our server, we still kick for really noobish play.

for example, on eclipse, guy today was picking up all the mines and putting them in the doorway at base and they kept blowing up. now, 1 time acceptable, 2 times retarded, 9 times (and no joke, i counted and kept telling him where exactly to put them)!!!! and im not talking about 9 mines, im talking about 9 packs of mines. everytime i dropped them for another player, he took them. i got so fed up i had to boot him. pretty funny though.
