<div class="IPBDescription">constructive feedback</div> Okay, just finishing off my weapon sprites pack. Just curious before I release it to see what people think of the grenade launcher crosshair.
<span style='color:red'>***Pic down. Scroll down to see all the crosshairs***</span>
BTW I understand that different screen resolutions change the size, has an alternate 800 x 600.
Just for the thinking impaired, I will mention that the green words are NOT part of the crosshair

It'll take a couple of days to show up. Gotta stop work on it, things are getting busy here.
I would assume that these will get on some peoples nerves. But I have played with them during full-blown games and to be completely honest they did not distract me at all.
The only real downfall is that if you play at resolutions higher than 1024 x 768 the grenade, bilebomb and spikegun crosshairs won't do you much good. The largest a sprite can be is 256 pixels and that just isn't large enough to stretch across the screen at high resolutions.

FYI
I truly do understand that the crosshairs are a bit colorful in some cases. the trick is to make crosshairs that are visible on most texture colors / schemes AND in light / dark conditions. If you look closely you will see that all those bright colored pixels that show up well in very dim areas are partnered with dark colored pixels right next to them that show up in light areas. Believe me it's hard to find a color combination that doesn't wash out into the background somewhere on a map. Then try and find 4 or five, because having all the same crosshairs is kinda boring (yes I am aware there are many people who prefer that)

Okay I admit igorance, you've totally thrown me off. What is hitscan? Well all I know is when I shoot the Lerk spikegun across the big rooms on Bast, those spikes drop.
Yeah i seached the porums, found this
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->It's hitscan not ballistic, this means if your crosshair is on them and your shooting spikes from any range than your hitting them. Regardless of the animations.
So yes, it goes perfectly straight. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
and
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->The code is hitscan and does not arc. The visual image is ballistic and has travel time.
These two things will be reconciled in 1.1; whether it becomes hitscan or ballistic remains to be seen. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Well to be perfectly honest this was why I posted it in the forums, to find out stuff like this <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Unfortunately I had to rush it along, may be deploying soon, they already took 1/3 of my unit. Anyway If anyone wants to make changes, feel free, I will wait until 1.1 to make any, if I am still here :o
Thanks for pointing that out Grendal
