I was bored and the board was slow
just 4 shots of my little baby, odlers, ready room...

I shouldn't have put the r_speeds on ...I was gonna have a competition to see who could guess them

really nice architecture and lighting, but how will they join teams, you need 3 teamjoins, also it's a bit bare now, but you'll fill this room in with the teamjoins ? YOu know what would be cool, you spawn in the readyroom, in the beginning of the room, then you go down 1 step into a lower part, with the teamjoins, some computer's or monitors the lower part is borded with a low railing, I dunno if you can put this is, but it'll look cool Oh well, it looks cool already, nice sky btw, chalup made it?
*edit*
nvm my suggestion, afetr looking at it again, the room isn't big enough, it looked really big, but after looking at it again, it seems alot smaller guess of those arches

Curvatious(sp?) with a sexy looking sky. Supprisingly low r_speeds.

Now that is old school NS mapping right there - reminds of some of the first maps I saw from (long gone) designers. Really cool curvy look. I like it.

Very cool, The reason the speeds are so low is the fact only 2 faces are being cut by the curved supports at the opposite walls. The glass doesn't cut up the faces.

Anyway, it looks great, the glass has an especially nice look to it and hope to see more of it. Maybe some fog ora little more clutter in there (since you have the r_speeds to do it)

good job

Very nice hanz. If your level is anything like it was before, this will fit perfectly. Is this the spawn room, and you go through that door to get to the join room?
• HanzGruberHanzGruber Join Date: 2002-01-25 Member: 47Members
ken - spot on.... the join room is just through that arch.... but sadly it doesn't exist yet..it will soon tho...

Interfector - I know I know... ...as for the size - there is 32 spawn points with room to spare (128 units apart).. and that's my env map....which you can download from your local retailer or you can get it free online at

*pulls a glass cutter out of his pocket*

it's actually just a arch shape... ...sorry to disappoint ....no magic tricks here I'm afraid..

wow. Curvy! Looks cool, a little bare though. I say all you need to add is some stuff to make it look less bare. No crates though. I'd say a little wires and grating could go a long way. And oh, make sure you have some REALLY cool ambience in the background

5/5 (note...the last two are smaller cause jpg compression couldn't make the 800*600 under 70k without screwing up the picture)

aside from adding the signs, ambient sounds and fixing up the roof texture...I think I'm pretty much done with the ready room...unless you think otherwise?
• MoleculorMoleculor Namer-of-Bob Join Date: 2002-01-24 Member: 9Members
You might want to shrink the floor texture, and move the joins apart just a bit, to lower the risk of accidentally hitting the wrong join.

i think its perfect, for the join thingies make it a controlpanel making a hologram near each one

wow, that is great, though i think you should put some detail in the hallway and make those teleport things flicker a bit.

heres an idea, in the teleports put models of bob for the aliens, a marine for the marines. and make them flicker a bit

oh and i count 3 teleports. one for marines, one for aliens and one for auto assign. where's the one for spectate?
• Right_Behind_YouRight_Behind_You Join Date: 2002-04-23 Member: 501Members
wow, nice eye, and idea!
• HanzGruberHanzGruber Join Date: 2002-01-25 Member: 47Members
they do flicker that's the unfortunate nature of a still shot...lol

that hallway going down has such wierd wall angles that I'd give anyone that can texture it properly a million dollars. not to mention you are pushed through it so fast you wouldn't get a chance to look at the walls..
