Problems Running My Map

Hey

I started mapping a couple days ago and its great to see your imagination come alive, but I have a problem running the map. Since I just began to map I have started with halflife deathmatch and I can't seem to load the map when I compile to see what my map actually looks like. It loads to the halflife screen then stops, so I go to custom game, load deathmatch, then in console type map DMC (mymapname) and then it loads. After a while, the console doesn't come up, so I have to copy my bsp and wad from dmc to the valve folder....Then it doesn't copy over and load the new changed map, just the old one..the problem is that when I add new changes to the same map it loads the old version of the map. I have to copy my bsp from my dmc/maps folder stick it in valve and run it from there. Another problem is entitie leaks, it says light entitie leak in so and so, but even though I change the position and fiddle with the light entitie it still says leak..

This is frustrating for someone new like me and I am sure there is bound to be a lot of frustration in the future..

So how do i fix this? do i have to type something in the game paremeters in the compile screen? how come my new map won't copy over the old existing one? (dmc.bsp copy over dmc.bsp)

    the entitie is not leaking.
    its the hull around the entitie.
    if you look into a large leak from game start it crashes -> this explains the not upgoing console . it just crashes.

    if you have no info_mapinfo you wont see your map in the start map list
