please just take a look
One thing that has always annoyed me is the grenade launcher. It is so freakin big but can only hold 4 grenades. We have grenade launchers now that are smaller than this thing and can hold 6. So i was thinking how could the grenade launcher look a litle more futuristic. I decided to look at some old guns and came up with this. A grenade pistol modeled after the Mauser Broomhandle. In case you didn't know the mauser broomhandle was what the pistol in starwars was modeled after.

I suggest make the model black futuristic looking, bigger barrel, reload in the box in front of the trigger with a clear magazine. Put one hand on the grip and the other hand holding underneath or in front of the magazine. Maybe put a tiny sight on the right side like the one on the right.

Well, with something like that, it would have to be something more like with the HK OICW, where it would have 20mm elongated grenades that are made for longer ranges... Then there would be thr problem with how weird it would be to have a grenade shaped like a bullet hit a wall and bounce...

    Meh.

    Current GL = Old HMG
New GL = Probably 1.1, maybe later

So you might want to wait till 1.1, you might be pleasantly surprised.

no, it's a BIG BAH to a $3,000 program you own illegally but then again, that's of course you didn't get supplied with a 60 day student edition that you re-lisenced for $30....

which is what i plan to do with my 3ds5.... once i get $30

    2. Any chance of digging up a picture of it taken from the top so I can get an idea of 3d perspective.

Ok, so I have made a start on it. I decided that the round chunk on top was, a: Ugly and b: hard to model, so I have moved the barrel to the front of the reciever and got rid of whatever the top bit is (scope?).

This has taken from the time of my last post. as posted above, no laughing please. All (constructive) comments welcome.

    Anyway, wadda ya tink?

[edit]I know the trigger looks like its gonna fall off, I just fixed that, but every time I do somthing, I think of somthing else to build. so smeg it. I gotta sleep at some point.[/edit]

Looks nice, a suggestion is to make the barrel of the gun a little smaller, but its your model up to you. Nice work can't wait till its finished.

The current GL model wasn't even originally designed to be a GL, look at the clip! Those are hmg or lmg rounds!

Thats very nice to know, but what effect does that have on my model?

I know 1.1 may have a new GL, in which case people can switch.

Also, sorry I haven't done any updates in the last couple of days, Its been giving me problems, and I've been to tired/drunk to sort them when I've tryed. Well, I just woke up and I'm sober, so hopefully I'll have an update by the end of the day.

BTW, does anyone know where I can find a tutorial on importing hands from other models, as building my own would take me the rest of the day.

    Cheers
