    Check this page, <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=20223' target='_blank'>Modeling 101</a> may help alot, plus u may already know this, but im just tell your if u don't get Half Life Model Viewer and Milkshape.

    I fond milkshape does the best job for what u wanna do, and MAX is best for making ya models

    argo, how do ya get into animation mode in MS3D? that's the only problem i'm having....
