a telltale sign that something with rad has gone wrong, maybe it cant find the file, the map has a leak or rad isnt run at all...

could be other annoying rad errors, just cant remember them all

yeh proberly is a leak ill compile and read the whole thing (for once). :starts up vhe and compiles map: ok i got a leak it says its at 544,-288,8 i went there only to find a ligth entity cheaked again and it said the light entity was were the leakpoint started???

The position it gives you when reporting a leak is of the nearest entity that's been found in the void to the leak itself, it doesn't actually give you the position of the leak itself. Whenever I can't find a leak I drag a simple box around suspect areas, do a quick compile, and see if the leak is still present. This helps work your way down to find the general area

I figured this out once lemme see if I remember or can figure it out again...

To post a picture write IMG inside square brackets []. Then give the full url to the image, http:// included. The close the image tag by writting /IMG inside square brackets.

[ IMG]http://members.verizon.net/~vze3nyjg/th-mekindaworking.jpg[ /IMG] for example. I added a space after the opening square bracket [ so that it wouldn't work and you could see it.

Naturally you have to find someplace to host your image.

Overexplaination follows, no offense, I have no idea what you do and don't know.

FINDING THE SPACE
The people your hired to let you on the net are your Internet Service Provider (ISP). for me: verizon.net
Generally an ISP will include (Free) some small amount of space on their webserver for you to post your own webpage. Go to their website and look around for stuff about a personal web site or some such.

GETTING THE STUFF INTO THE SPACE
Some web hosts (geocities) will have a webpage that lets you upload stuff. If so you can use that to put your pictures onto their machine.

I prefer FTP, so hopefully they will let you connect to their web serving machine with an ftp client. Try LeechFTP : http://stud.fh-heilbronn.de/~jdebis/leechftp/ it's old, free and functional. This way you can move lots of files at once in a windows explorer "like" interface.

Either way, you get the pix onto your ISP's machine.

LINK US UP
Now you have to figure out what the address is for your ISP's web server. www.verizon.net serves customer web pages from members.verizon.net. This info should be in the web pages describing how to make your own page.

GOOD LUCK MAN

If you want, AIM me at TomCerul during the day. I'll tell ya if I'm too busy to help.

In other news, you can just attach a medium or small image using the File Attachments button under the smilies. (It's labeled Choose.) This way the NS forums server will host your image for ya.

Thanks Ollj!

What is the size of you screenshot(s) in bytes?

You can "attach" pictures up to 204800 bytes (about 200 KB) to a forum post using the "Fle Attachments" section at the bottom of your reply (it's just above the "Add Reply" button and bellow the "Post Icons" (smilies).

I'd talk you through uploading larger pictures to NS World, but that's even more complicated.

Ok, well the img button is blatently broken, so I can't post the actual picture. On the layout however the corrider in between the 2 lower hives (it has a vent running over it) looks like a prime duel seige point. After hundreds of hera games that revolved solely around processing I'm always worried about such points.

if you mean the orange bit then stop wooring you can only seige the center south hive from there you have to go to a green bit to seige the west hive
