do a forum search

I know I have seen some one post on a demo to avi program (and yes the best would be to take a demo then go to avi(divx))

I have used videomach in some cases. The newest version of MovieMaker 2.0 was just released for all you XP users out there. It's a VAST improvement over the 1.0 that ships with XP, and I no longer use VM now that MM2 came out.

    Get MovieMaker 2.0

If you need help in converting an NS demo into a movie, repost here. I would suggest waiting for NS 1.1 though...

yeah, the movie maker that comes w/ XP is suprisingly good. You can rip clips out of existing video files (whether they be divx, avi, mpg, wmv) at a very effecient rate. I just wish it could encode to formats besides WMV, but oh well the file size is still very very good.
