<div class="IPBDescription">Alien spawning, and "stink cloud"</div>Ok, aliens spawn around the hive. What happens when there is more than one hive on the map? Do aliens choose which hive they spawn at, is it random, do they spawn closest to where they died, etc.? Also, how does alien respawning work - is it on a timer, with reinforcements "born" every X seconds? Feel free to answer "undecided yet" or "MYOB"... I just need some sort of response. (:
Second question: do the level 3 stink bombs (:D) affect buildings, or is it like Starcraft's psionic storm, only damaging organic units? Does it hurt aliens as well? Seems to me the best way to do it would be to have it only hurt marines... it's a toxin that attacks organics, to which the aliens (through evolution) are immune.
Oh, one more question... the marines have a siege turret for attacking hives - a high-damage, long-distance siege weapon. Do the aliens have a similar weapon (whether a building or an alien ability) particularly effective at destroying bases, or do they not need one?

Question 1: Right now, aliens are randomly respawning at one hive - the 'nearest hive' thing sound kinda neat, however.
Question 2: Aliens are immune to the sporecloud, I can't really say wether buildings are too, but would guess it's a yes.
<b><i><span style='color:red'>Again, everything is subject to change.</span></i></b>
Question 3: Well, if you count Tiny as weapon... (read: No. They don't need one, too, as alien weapons are already pretty strong as is)
For the 'egg' thing - I guess you're talking about the cocoons that're displayed when an alien is evolving. The aliens don't lose points if it's destroyed, the alien loses its life instead.

So would Tiny be like taking a marine siege cannon, except it fires much faster, is far far harder to destroy and you have to drag it along with you to use it.?(assuming the siege cannon works like a mortar)
Well, the answers I gave aren't exactely playtest informations - you could also get them by searching through the forums (all the forums).
Anyway, you're right, we shouldn't start giving PT'ish' informations either.
