Custom Game

I can't log on to server, it keep saying, " You cannot connect to a server running custom game NS until you install the custom game". <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'm sorry if I ask a stupid question but have you installed the client for NS? If so have you tried to reinstall it?

Simple fix :


Dont use the desktop shortcut to launch the game, take Start -> Programs -> Natural-Selection -> Launch Natural-Selection instead. Should work fine now.

Alternatively, fix the desktop icon <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

To do that, just open up the properties box (right click the icon), and in the box which it says "Start in", enter your half-life directory (eg. C:\Sierra\Half-life)
