Get the <a href='http://www.udpsoft.com/eye/' target='_blank'>All Seeing Eye (ASE)</a>, select Natural Selection from the list, hit F5, then doubleclick a server. Best way.

If you don't want to download more stuff, run NS from the START MENU, not the DESKTOP ICON. There's a little bug in the desktop icon.

There are alternatives to All Seeing Eye, like GameSpyArcade. In fact there's a sticky thread somewhere about the best way to find a server. Personally I object to All Seeing Eye's $10 /year charge and find that GameSpy's add support is more acceptable for me. I also find GSA to be a friendlier more useable interface, especially with regards to the buddy list option. But, each to their own and I am not going to be drawn into a 'mine is better than yours argument'. Try them both for free or view the screenshots and features on thier websites and make up your own mind.

    GSA : <a href='http://www.gamespyarcade.com' target='_blank'>http://www.gamespyarcade.com</a>

I always use the built-in game browser and I'm perfectly happy with it - just set your filter appropriately. (If it times out and tries to fetch the complete list of 32k Half-Life servers rather than the few hundred NS servers, restart Half-Life and try again.)

    Use Game Tiger

    <a href='http://www.Gametiger.com' target='_blank'>GameTiger.com</a>

Use the Mod Search or put this in the name of the server search "NS 1.04"

I used to but HL doesnt seem to understand the idea of 100Mb lan connected to 512kb internet, as a result when I use the HL server browser it floods my router with so many requests that is down the internet connection for every PC on my lan and didn't get more than a few hundred requests before hanging. Then I wouldn't be able to jion any of those servers because my routers cache was flooded.
It was almost certainly fixable by buying a better router with a bigger cache or more advanced firewalling to prevent this DoS but to be honest installing GSA was the prefered (and much cheaper) option as I can now track when and where my friends are playing!
