<div class="IPBDescription">Fades + Mines = You win.</div> I know almost everyone knows you can detonate mines with a fade, but very few people use these same mines vs the marines. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Try it: the next time the marines spam the hell out of their entrances, wait just outside of the entrance for a marine and then acid rocket the mines you're guaranteed at least 1 kill maybe 2 or more(depends if the marines are grouped up <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    Yeah thats true, I think you can detonate
    the mine's with the Gorge Spit as well.

    My best mine destruction ever - ns_caged, about 2 weeks after public release.

    Most players never really knew for sure what they were doing, and the commander was giving out loads of mines to flood the Generator hive. I was clinging to the ceiling in the hive for about 10 minutes and watching them lay down what seemed like <i>at least</i> 30 mines.

    The catwalk had a mine on the 'wall' every few steps, lasers were going the whole length of the hive, and so on. I really wish I got a screenshot, but this was prior to my even knowing <i>how</i> to take a screenshot. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Finally, I dropped out of my nice vantage point, caught one of the lasers on the way down, and the whole room went up in a blast that should have taken the walls down. The unfortunate marines who were caught in the blast screamed "wtf?", and the surviving witnesses were laughing for the rest of the game.

    I only wish I wasn't the first to die from the explosion so I could have seen it for myself. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Well, the best mine detonation ever had to be on the LGSO server. I joined and it turns out the marines have been jerking off and 2 hive is imminent. They had no commander so I jumped in and spammed mines on the floor. Some bug occured and ALL the mines exploded... yep, all 100 of them.

    SoBe got an extra 10 kills there. Haha.

    Funniest mine explosion I've ever seen. I'm comm on eclipse. They have three hives. I drop craploads of mine packs, and their spread around in the area by the armory in front of the comm chair. Onos charges in. Onos walks over mines. Onos gets lots of kills. Onos doesn't die.

    I have just tested this with a gorge.
    You can detonate mines with gorge attacks.

    -With web u can detonate proximity mines

    -With spit u can detonate laser mines

    Well, couldn't have been my server because it runs 16 players with 2 reserve.     Use bind x snapshot instead. Screenshot will create a really screwy image (well, it used to. I don't know if it still does).
