Regarding Voogru's server
Hi i was not sure where to put this

but i was hoping both Vecdran AND Voogru
and whoever has played on voogru's server AND has vecdran's new skin pack

firstly: great job on the skin pack
secondly: great server.. interesting ideas

now my concern in this post is fact that for some reason after getting the daemon elite v1.1 skin pack i changed everything except the knife model because i like the simplicity..

joining voogru's server.. i was quite looking forward to it because he said he added a new netcode or something of that sort.... jus before i connected i was booted for a model inconsitencey error

now my question is... in NS when u change skins... does changing color make it inconsistent? i really dun think so cuz it seems quite stupid because some people have totally reskineed everything... i was jus quite shocked because the daemon elite v1.1 skin pack seems to be just a few recolored skins... mostly to make them black -.-?

hope i can get some replies.... and maybe it was jus that one time.. perhaps a temporary error in the server? i didnt bother trying again cuz i thot it would be pointless..

thanks.. cuz i really wana play on that server with the new skin pack. thx!

If you change any of the models, then the server will reject you if they inforce consistency (in other words, you can't change models at all to join some servers). This was done to prevent people who turned skulks into bright little creatures so that they could more easily see them in dark corners, etc.

There are some servers who don't inforce this consistency, but I guess Voogru's isn't one of them.

hmm, didn't know voogru had model consistancy

    and yes it does
all model consistancy can do is check the size of the file, and colors are different size
the reason for this is that aimbots (well some of them) worked off of collored models. They would color the diff parts some realy nasty colours (ones you would neve see in a map, like the blue that is used for trancperancy, or neon green/red/what not)
The aim bot would auto aim at what ever colour you told it to (insta head shot). Regular players started fighting this by making sprays with these colours in them ;D

so yah, no voogru till you get rid of your custom skins

perhaps... is there a way i voogru could download the mappack and some how tell the server to allow those models?? thx

i suspect it would check against the servers own files and either allow only your modified skins o allow only original skins. not both.

but in CS ... they have model consistencey but u can change the colors and reskin it... as long as it fits a certain "shape/dimension"

CS has hitbox consistency, not model consistency. This means the model can be whatever you want, as long as it's not bigger than a certain size. This stops 'spiked' model cheats, but is quite happy to let you use neon orange skins.
