<div class="IPBDescription">Tired of Obtrusive Waypoint sprites and</div> I got all kinds of irritated earlier today about Waypoint sprites, so I've taken them and scaled them down, one set to 75% original size, and one set to 50%. I'll have them here with screenshots in a little bit, as well as the instructions for minimizing the text messages on the waypoints.

Thank god. I was thinking about doing it myself but to lazy to.

Hey will you also do it with the motion tracking. It screws with my shot when that fat **** thing is bleeping around along with a skulk biting my ankle.

    And the 50% set

(warning: these are *tiny* when at any range.)

And if you don't really want a sprite, just the location:
Go to your NS sprites folder, copy blank.spr somewhere, rename it to 640order.spr, and put it back in. That just leaves the two lines of command text, or, if you edit the titles.txt, jsut a colon and location.

    About the text -

Go into titles.txt in your NS folder, under //order descriptions (3/4 of the way down the file) you have what the waypoint orders will say under the sprite - I just deleted the Move, Build, and Range displays, which leaves a colon on the first line of text (hard coded I think, if someone finds out how to remove it, please enlighten me), and the full location title on the second line. The font is still the same (still working on that) and the colon isn't real good looking, but it's a huge step towards making it smaller and less vision-blocking.

Was wondering if you have tested these inagme. I shrunk the size of my motion tracking sprites and that didn't help at all it jsut made it stretch more and become more pixelated.

I noticed you did the exact samething so was wondering.

Yep, all three are tested, and scale normally. The smaller one (which is actually the 320 sprite) appears a little pixellated when you are right next to it,, but that is the only thing I have noticed.

Ok, readmes included in both, and also: the 50% scale sprite was misnamed 640orders.spr instead of 640order.spr (because the 320 is actually 320orders.spr... go figure.) Which is also corrected.

No screenies yet, but this gives you an idea of the scale, 100%, 75%, 50% from L to R.

See next post for pic link

Well you sprites don't work at all they just stretch and become pixelated not helping at all but I myself have thought of a way to fix this so I am going to go do it myself and release them for every one so there not pixelated at all and are auctally small like sayed.

Should be out tomorrow for everyone

hrmm... they all work on my machine, at 800x600 resolution - what are you running, and has anyone else had the same issues with them?

The 75% does pixellate, but it is still round - my whole idea was to make it smaller , not prettier. and the 50% is just the sprite for lower res, so it has very little change. I Now have screenies up for all three, and the default, so you can compare.

Well im running my uber system at 1600*1200 so it pixelates real bad and really doesn't help at all. I will fix the problem the best I can but there is my limits since I will be taking a image that is already on a very smale pixel scale and make it smaller.

Well got up the Sprites. They work good and don't stretch like the other ones or become pixelated so here they are.

*Note* They Are still not super high quality because the canvas size is real small meaning 32*32 pixels so its not as clean as the originals but is alot smaller.

Theres my temp page I got up for my stuff. Going to work on it adding more stuff.
