The value of life

Ok I am new to posting of these forums so bear with me
I was just wondering how great life is valued in Natural-Selection?
Is it like TFC or DoD where you just charge over to the other side and act as if dying is nothing more than a small annoyance or is it more like counter strike where you actually fear death. Or is it completely different from either of those examples?
Like in an average 30 minute game how often would you expect to die? Do the marines die more often than the aliens or vice versa?
Also how long can you expect to wait to respawn in a typical game?
Thank you taking the time to read this post from a forum noob <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

As for the 'How long should you expect to live?' question... Depends. If you're a marine, do you follow orders? You'll live a lot longer. Do you go lone wolf on the marine team? You'll die fast, assuming you can find the aliens.
As an alien, it depends. How organized are the marines? Are you rushing into their base and a group of well armed and fully healed marines as Bob (level 1 alien)? Or are you silently hanging from a shadowed ceiling as a level three, picking off marines as they walk past?
In other words:
If you play stupid, expect to die fast, unless the enemy is playing dumber.
If you play smart, expect to live longer, unless the enemy is playing smarter.
A:Will you follow the orders of your commander?
B:Will your commander make the right orders?

But, as of now, how durable are players compared to other fps? I know it's subject to change, but it's still fun to hear about this stuff. =]

Will there be a spawn delay? A base should be hard to destroy, but I hate how the enemy instantly has reinforcements ready to kill you. A 3 to 5 second spawn delay would work good.
There is a spawn delay, and it's one of the things that I can't forsee changing (however, there is always the chance). However, the delay time is variable, dependant on how many portals/hives you have up, and how many people on your team are dying.
Two playtests ago we didn't have a cost for spawning. Last playtest we did. I don't know which will be in the final version. I do know that originally a cost was planned, but even old ideas and concepts can change or be removed if they aren't fun.

Most mods are like "Oh no, we don't want the winning team to be able to trounce the losers even more". *Cough* Firearms *Cough* <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
And durability? You mean for the marines right? A Blinky would obviously be able to take more punishment(or at least as much) as the HWguy.
