<div class="IPBDescription">Oh man this is great</div> Haha, Sniperlust, what a terrible server.

This guy (*TDO*) who had Admin powers got mad at the the WINNING Marine team for not giving him a Turret Factory, bans the guy in the cc and then gets in and proceeeds to recycle the entire marine base. After talking back to him for it, he bans me, crying about not getting his tf when he wanted it.

Any server that has that crappy of an admin should be avoided.

Oh and even before that I was given a ban warning because I rushed the marines at the start and they didn't like that, nor did the admin on my team.

So if you want a server thats totally dictative go to that one, other wise, I would suggest avoiding it.

Oh for once, I didn't even whine on a server :-p

Yes. TBH is the clan that moderates it, mostly, and as far as I know, they are all pretty decent people, however. I'm not sure how something like a yahoo banning the Comm and killing the team could happen. I'll let my friend know.

I've had some problems there, too. Basically, we were killing the marines' comm chair as alien, and the guy goes, "Kill me and you get BANNED". The comm chair is destroyed, and I end up killing the guy. A minute later, "You have been banned for 15 minutes". Pure bull****. If you are losing, at least don't be such a sore loser that you have to ban the winners. I don't think I'll be playing there for a while.

I've had problems on Sniperlust before, I was having one of my best games as a Marine...HMG and HA...killing Aliens left and right. All of a sudden I kill a stupid fade trying to come through a vent...banned a few seconds later.

Very immature admins <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'> Least on Voogru, even if the admin has a hot temper he will just llamify you. Not perma ban or kick you.

They rebuilt, but it was stupid, wasteful, and annoying.

One of the others got angry because I rushed the marines one game and I flat out told him to shutup, in which he was like oh I can get you banned, which was pretty lame.

The other guy that recycled things said he would be ban me when I told him off for doing such a stupid thing.

I find the admins on voogru to be some of the best. Although, sometimes they really aren't around when you need them. There was a guy on last night, he was on ALL DAY LONG...and he managed to avoid ban all day. The name? "A LITTLE RETARD" or something like that, he was griefing in one way or the other all day. He'd jump in the comm chair, and just sit there (marines for some reason couldn't eject him). He ruined many a game with his simple presence. He wasn't a noob, he was just griefing, and he never said a word...classic sign of a griefer <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> Either way, they are some of the best guys, and they are fun.

Once, the marines were all dead, and the last living person was kInG, he had admin powers that night (he doesn't always). Under some encuragement from the rest of us (me included him) we convinced him to god mode/gl/and noclip his way to a hive and attack it...it was great, he didn't kill the hive, but he managed to have the entire alien team attack him, everyone was laughing like crazy. Finally he turned them off and died, it was great <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> I love voogru servers <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

Hey with that comm who said KILL ME AND GET BANNED, you should have all killed the chair then ran back and parasited his sorry arse to death. Would add to the humiliation factor of being a llama comm, Maybe THEN he would see the stupidity of his actions (Or maybe hes one of these brain donors and wont see the funny side of it)

Meh, Ive never had any runins with Bad admins, most of the servers I go to are usually unpatrolled too. Guess the people arent complete rejects yet (YAY for Aussie servers!!!) maybe once in a while we get some jacka** who recycles, but its not very often (Seems more admins are banning for this kind of crud) so it seems to keep itself well policed.

The 3 servers I play got no admins ( At least I think so, Only seen ONE message from an admin or server op. since the 2nd day of NS playing - Name: Auria [insertsomeweirdfinnishwordhere] ). It's finnish, I'm swedish, sometimes I have problems to understand when they spam their mics with kakfndsfusdbsdf something <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> . Only seen 3 lamers on those servers... Hmm... And no one seems to know any e-mail adress to the server op. either.... I would love to take contact him and congrat him with the servers ( And of course ask if he could get some Admins to keep everything tight ).

. i only play sniper lust. i wont reveal who TDO is anyway. Yes ~=TBH=~ (~=TSH=~) owns it. They moderate the server just fine. The admins are very funny too. You may not like it, but its more fun because the people who play are regulars, and only a few first timers come.
I happen to know all the TBH who play sniper and the TSH, and i play there a lot. And ill tell you, that is the best server ever. I wouldnt play anywhere else. maybe you had a bad round or something, i only play there because the people are nice and moderate fairly. They kick and ban people who dont follow thier rules. They kcik and ban people who dont play coopertively.

If some guy was waiting for a tf for 10 mins and you guys didnt give it to him then thats a sign of not playing right. Those people shouldnt be in that server, they dont help the nice enviroment. The server doesnt allow swearing or racism or anything of the sort. it wants the game to be clean, non exploited, and played fun. Ignoring marines doesnt fit there.

Try them again, thier server is very very good. dont break thier rules or do stupid things or make the admins mad. Just play.

Here's a bad comm experience. I was playing on Fists of Ra the other night playing marines, and we were losing pretty bad, they had fades in the base, etc. My brain is being retarded right now, so I can't think of the name of the map, but it's the one with the noname hive, and the main base has that cockpit area. Well you know how there's the bug in the map where sometimes marines will respawn out in space after a beacon? Well that happened to us, and this admin thought we did did some exploit to get out there, which makes me question how he got to be an admin, since it happens pretty often. But anyway, rather than f4, my whole team just started building stuff out there and having fun with it, and this guy get's REALLY **** off and starts going "Who was the comm that did that," "what exploit did you use," then "your wonid's are all logged, you will be banned." So that really **** me off, so I started yelling at the admin, admittedly not a good idea, but I was quite angry at him at the time. Then the aliens started using /unstuck to get through the glass, which **** me off even more, because we got out there by accident, and the aliens were using an exploit to get out, and of course the admin did nothing to them. So I made sure to point out to the admin the double standard, but he would have none of it and I got kicked. So while I agree I wasn't the politest I could be, he was still a jackass.

If you get a TF or not is NOT your call, unless you're the one sitting in the CC. Sorry, admin or not, if a player starts giving me orders as a Comm, they've just made my 'basic loadout only' list, even if we can afford HA/JP/HMG/GL/Shotgun/Welders out the vent. Sorry, that admin deserves to be slapped a few times, then backhanded to the ground. He was a grunt, NOT the Comm. He doesn't get to dictate how the RP gets spent, so zip the lip or it gets sewn shut.

You kick/ban if someone's exploiting a bug in the game. 1. They probably wouldnt kick you for rushing the marines. But if you said YA SCREW YOU ILL RUSH ALL THE MARNIES I WANT, they would kick you.

2. If your a comm and start recycling everything to be an **** then yes you should be kicked. I think that goes for all servers. When people start recyling everything mid-game for no reason the admins normally kick them. It happened to me before, but i forgot where.

As for the voogru.com admin that "banned" you for killing him in the comm chair, I have personally NEVER seen an admin on voogru.com do something like that. You must have done something like insult him, or you weren't listening to him if he was testing something. Voog has only had about 1 or 2 abusive admins, and they have been stripped of their status.

Excuse me....admin telling the alien team they CANT attack the marine base.Okay anyone who does that should be immediately shot in real life for pure stupidity and trying to sabtoage the human race by polluting the gene pool.

And ive seen people sitting in the middle of the sahara desert by themselves(now how would they be by themselves?yup they didnt obey orders.)whining for a RT that would be destroyed in 30 seconds,tops.I didnt give them an RT.They died a few seconds later to a skulk.Then they start whining about how much i sucked because i didnt give them the RT and "coolz stuffz to kill the aliens!!!!111111111".This soudns remarkably like the TF story.

just a note about attacking at the start...not always, but sometimes on this server one of the admins will say not to rush, to allow both teams time to build a bit, especially in the smaller games....Now I play exclusively as an alien, and always try avoiding the rush since I actually want to play a game and not have it end in 3 minutes.... so i dont mind not rushing, but I know many people like to rush at the start.....if its a case that an admin says not to rush, then whether or not you agree does not matter....it is an admin, and people who play on the server must follow the rules...if you disobey or disagree, well in that case go somewhere else...

For this particular case with banning you, its probably because you talked back to the admin, but I cant comment yet on the rest of the problem (him banning comm and then recycling) cause I dont know more than what you have said so far...Personally though Ive never seen and admin pull that on the server so I suspect there were other reasons behind all that went on......

whatever the case may be, whether you or the admin were right or wrong, Im sorry your experience on the Sniperlust server had to end up like this
