I was comm and we won?!
Yeah, I know, hard to believe huh? Marines actually winning, and with my pathetic comm skills. It was a good game, but REALLY frustrating because EVERYONE asks for everything and theyre like comm drop me health here and im like hold on im trying to siege this hive and then the dude gets all **** and some other guy keeps saying comm give me a bfg and i was like ahhh *dies pull hair out asdknsd*. Don't ask the comm for so much crap! Unless they are somehow a godlike comm then they can't be everywhere at once. We had a lot of res and i was constantly researching stuff too but it just kept pouring in. Even though EVERYONE kept saying comm build stuff research things look you have 200 res there wasn't much I could do short of spamming buildings randomly everywhere. People complain too much about what the comm does...the only reason I went into the chair was because nobody else wanted to, right in the beginning of the game somebody just ran in, built two ip's, an armory and an arms lab and then jumped out. I took over cuz nobody wanted to...and people have the nerve to complain about how i'm doing? That's what angered me the most...when people got **** at me i said well WHY DONT YOU COME UP HERE AND GET IN THIS CHAIR THEN. Shuts people up nicely.

Well guess that's all I really wanted to say...stop bothering the comm o_o He can't be everywhere

Nice to see the other side of the proverbial fence isn't it? When you comm a big pub game and everyone is asking for stuff and bothering you and you get a chance to see what pressure a comm is under, it makes you change your view of the comm. You tend to have more paitience with a busy comm, well at least I do.

Gotta love those busy comms who only give out gear to their pals.

I just cave in on anything people want, it makes the game more playable. Say I good player wants a HMG, I give it to him. But I'm really tired of those idiots who say "COMMANDER GIVE ME A freaking MED PACK", people use the right mouse menu, so I can actually see where in the hell you need one. Also what's annoying is when a new game starts, and there is always one guy that wants a "better gun"

Sometimes its suicide to use the Voice Menu for a medpack. Like when im in a hiveroom, asking for a TF and medpack, and When I ask for it, the comm takes 3 minutes to get it to me, and THEN he drops it on me, when a skulk is walking by in hearing range. (We had motion so there was NO need to do this to me) Ended up losing the TF, any opportunity to Siege kill that hive (They Chambered up so fast it was scary) And eventually lost the game. Not to bad comming (He was good) Just to idiot marines who dont phase immediately, and a few instances of bad luck (me getting medpacked when a skulk walked by)

Anyway, using the voicemenu, is dangerous at best, So I type and use voice comm. Only time Ill use the voicemenu is when im in a secure area (Usually marine spawn)

When I comm I don't mind people using voice chat to ask for stuff, but if they just say "I need a medpack" and dont give a location I cant help them. All they have to do is add their location to the message and I can usually find them.

Not to brag, but I'm quite ubiquitous. Okay, I'm bragging.

But I do have one thing to say. You should never ever ever ever have more than 100 RP. I don't even want the bank to go over 80. That's just idle RP doing nothing. If there is nothing for those RPs to go to, then just spam mines, turrets, and TFs to reinforce defenses as well as just leave equipment on the ground. People have a right to complain if you have 200 RP just sitting there. I've been in the situation where every tick literally gave 70-100 RP each, so don't say it's not possible.

And don't worry if it won't be built immediatly. The area is secure so its no waste. Just remind them every now and then to "BUILD MY STUFF!"

Today must be my lucky day...same map, ns_nothing, I was comm again, and we won again! Well...we would have won, but the server crashed =/ Oh well...we were about to win. I had just handed out JP/HA/HMG to everyone. My team was a lot better in this game though, they weren't all demanding this and that everywhere, and I never let the RP accumulate too much. Once or twice i had to jump out the seat to defend the undefended base, and it got up to like 90 or 100, but I started dropping things and researching as soon as I got back in. It was a real good game too...Aliens had 2 hives but a few of my marines snuck into Viaduct and we got a PG up...and then...A GLORIOUS BATTLE ENSUED!! There was like 6 marines down there holding off this massive onslaught of skulk, it was so crazy, i was dropping health everywhere and trying to keep my men alive. This massive firefight lasted for like 10 minutes, till we finally got up some turrets and siege to keep the area clear. And they actually managed to take back Viaduct twice afterwards, but we stole it back each time. They also tried to take back Cargo, and almost succeeded, I barely noticed in time. And thanks to my professional marines that all went into the PG as soon as I said it was under attack, we had 5 guys there in no time flat. After that was when I started handing out weapons and armor/jp. But then as we pushed for Power Silo the server crashed =( oh well...gg nonetheless.

Pfft server crash. We were owning some aliens today and guess what happens? Someone starts a mapvote and the map changes. Really lame. They really need to change that.

Well the majority wanted a map change. The fact that someone didn't like that doesn't warrant any changes.

I commandeered a team to victory today. My first win out of 50 losses. We held about half the res in ns_nothing while the aliens only took half of what they could. I couldn't spend the resources fast enough so we were usually around 500 res.
