Who's The Comm?

lay off him / know when to quit
I've been on too many servers recently where the marines stand around for a good few minutes silently looking at each other because no-one wants to comm.
At the same time, when someone does finally sigh and assume the position (usually prompted by the first skulk rush), please give them time. Recently we had only just started trooping to the first hive by the time the abuse started :
"You n00b!"
"You sux omg tbbh"
Hey, leave the guy alone! and if they aren't any good, put it to a vote, thats whats its there for.

The flip side of the coin is, if you can't comm, know when to move over. I'm the first to back away from the big chair - point me at something and tell me to shoot it and I'm fine, but I can't do the telling....

Humans. Bah.

This is so annoing. If he sacrafices himself for he team, even though he didn't particularly want to go comm, you shouldn't shout at him. Usually when this happens to me (not too good of a comm) I get out of the chair and tell them to comm. After five minutes of having no comm they usually shut up.

This happened to me. No one wanted to comm on ns_hera so I ran up and started dumping some IPs and an armory.

After like twenty minutes of blind stumbling, someone finally joined who wanted to comm They didn't eject me, but I more or less lost the game.

If no one wants to comm, you take the CC and comm, and they start harrasing you....they are in the wrong.Definately.This kind of behaviour shouldnt be allowed in any servers.

However,i have never seen marines not wanting to comm(mainly because i always grab the CC.......) but i have always seen this........

*4-5 people tell me to comm*
    Me : okay i comm
    *unknownguy grabs the CC*
*over half the team start yelling at him to get out and let me comm*
*unknownguy puts 3 portals down before he is ejected*
    *unknownguy ejected,but too late,damage done,we lose.*

if you've ever played a game with me as a comm, the second everyone (not just 1-2 marines) starts yelling at me, I leave the chair. I don't care if it's at a crucial moment, I don't care if I was about research another upgrade for my troops, I just leave the chair. I play a very offensive strategy so there is rarely anyone nearby to replace me in the cc, so we go without a comm for 2 minutes or so before people start running back to base. If you can't comm, and you force a "decent" comm to take the job, just be careful what you say to us. There's a reason why good comms don't comm much, either. People "tell" the comm what to do. Sometimes its useful, comms have to be everywhere at once, but it will eventually **** them off.

    you're right.

Suggesting is not bad I think but it can easily spill over into nagging or telling.

However there are plenty of bad comms who will not get out they are just really newb and slow. Sometimes even the teams are newb and will not vote him out or reluctant to vote him out - in that case I have now decided to leave and let them have fun instead of barraging the comm with requests and getting blood pressure up
