<div class="IPBDescription">Help me test things.</div> I'm looking for mp_maxspeed's for basic marines, hmg has, and all the alien races with all the celerity levels. (Or just give me the percent increase of celerity.) I want to run some testing but I can't do it with out the max speeds. If anyone knows where to find these or has them, I'd appreciate it. mp_maxspeed, the console cvar doesn't seem to work.

Try to find a program called "Sparky" it's a client hook originally designed for TFC that has a speedometer showing maxspeed and the percentage of that speed you are travelling. It should be very useful for your research.

The max running speed for marines is not only dependent on whether they're wearing HA, holding a GL or HMG, etc. It's also dependent on holding more total ammunition.

You heard me right. Stocking up at an armory for all 250 rounds for your LMG or more shotgun rounds will actually make you slower than if you just get out of the IP and go. You may not notice it over short distances, but it's there and can make critical differences.

Thanks to this, there are even rare, specific scenarios where it's better to get out of the IP, drop the LMG entirely, and go with your pistol. If a mere gorge is about to kill a res tower, that .5 or 1 or even 2 second difference in time spent running can make the difference between losing a structure or not.

Take these seemingly minor speed differences into account when you do your stats.

I already knew that(about the ammo thing), but, thanks. I wanted the base numbers with default ammo though; much too much effort to get every single number for the marines based on ammo.

I didn't think of sparkies. I use it in tfc for the bhop prediction fix, but forgot about the speedometer. Thanks for the help.
