Or: How to win easily
The map was ns_eclipse, and it started simply enough. We had a newbie commander, who couldn't help much, and teams were 5v5. I ran into eclipse hive and managed to pop off a whole LMG clip into their hive before a skulk got me. So i got thinking. I jumped in the comm chair, upgraded weapons, and announced we were going to win. I gathered together about 4 other marines, and we all loaded up with full ammo. We moved out, past triad, meeting no resistance at all. We were able to simply walk into EC. We all took up positions around the hive, and when i yelled the "FIRE!" command, all 5 of us let rip on the undefended hive. Skulks took about ten seconds to reach us, but they were easily killed. The hive went down under all our LMG fire in about 30 seconds. The aliens tried to put up a second hive, but were killed. We had won.
This proves the effectiveness of teamwork, and that while one LMG marine may be weak, 5 of them can easily take down a hive.

nice one man!
No big deal, sorry but its tried a lot in clan matches, although jetpack hmg rushes seem to be King of strateg y right now.
But good story
Yeah, yeah base rushing is a valid tactic, but I think they are boring and when I'm comm the *seriously* annoy me. (I know thats what aliens are supposed to do, but my marines are supposed to defend my base)
It's all rubbish.
Both teams are in the game to try and WIN, not namby pamby around saying stuff like "Dont phase rush/skulk rush/lmg rush/[insert any other kind of rush here], it's boring."
If a team wins by rushing, good for them.
