Minimap? Arg.

<div class="IPBDescription">How to get rid of your MINI MAP.</div> I am sorry if we have discuss this before, if so, then let this be a reminder or a new tricks for new commers.

If you would like to get rid of the minimap, and has a viewthrough it instead of having it hide a skulk. Type the followin' in your console.


bind ins toggleeditps // This will enable a edit tips everytime you hit insert.

After this, hit ins and a crosshair will disapear but a mouse point will show up, the minimap will be removed. You can now see through it. Now, dont hit ins again, instead hit Tap. The crosshair will shown up and you get to keep see through minimap.

Bugs. You cant no longer right click and as for health pack or perform any request but if you can bind keys for that, it would be worth getting rid of the minimap.

You cant no longer command cause it will not show any minimap.

But dont worry people, you can always turn it back up. Just hit ins again and hit tap. The minimap will reapear and it will all get fixed.

    The minimap is a minor annoyance, but I never really notice it when I'm actually playing the game. Then again, I don't notice the muzzle flash either. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Hopefully the minimap for marines will be improved - and the commander minimap VASTLY improved - in 1.1.

    God, the muzzle flash is <b>the</b> worst part of being a marine. Does anyone know how you can replace or delete the sprite?

    i like the mini map... and to the flash problem is been atked about 100's of times , do a search for it , but it will be locked in 1.1 (i hope) and also u can change to sprite but it seams to screw up NS when my m8 tryed , its a balance issus imo because with out it its too easy to track aliens and hit them even if they are trying to move out the way.

    I hate the normal minimap , but I've downloaded somewhere the minimaps on full colours and now it isnt that bad.
