<div class="IPBDescription">What do you do?</div> Any tactic that is more effective than another against unstoppable creature?
Esp. if they have celerity allowing them to out run you as their regen brings them back to full health
I personally haven't had the chance to test gren.l much against them (damn commander), HMG makes it even easier for them to escape, jet back... well the chances are that the commander hasn't even begun research on it...
Just wondering, always found it pretty much a lost situation if you are one on one, e.g. you are the only marine at some fortified place (might be command where getting stuff is not the issue, might not be) against one onos, and the others are too busy else where.
Then again aren't most games with 3 hives lost either ways?

80% of games where one side has 2 hives are lost let alone 3.
That is a cheap EXPLOIT and anyone using that should be banned for such a lame act
I Don't think FLay wanted it that way, otherwise he would've made a special item you could drop as com for such a purpose.

So is closing doors and airlocks on onos' to crush them; but that never stopped me before. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
I dont think this is an exploit at all. I've managed to kill stuff this way as a comm before now. Dropping stuff on people is a bugger; getting killed cos your stood in a closing door is your own daft fault.
How many of your are there? Less than 4?
Then you are meant to do one thing only.
You're meant to die.

It's not my problem if the Onos is to stupid to smash the structure up besides I think of it more of a commander taking an active role in the battle. Another thing though It's not like it's easy to do you have to drop it in front of them as they are moving and even then it usually doesn't work.
I suppose your the sort of person that would complain if I built a comm chair in a vent behind you to block your escape. I have lost count of the amount of times I have done this to block a fade/lerk camping in a vent that was shooting at my base in a hive.
since regen is based on PERCENTAGE of max health, a regen onos is almost unstoppable, now with the FASTER regen, it's more insaneness in the membraness. with pre-1.04 patch a regen onos could take fire from a turret and stay at full health indefinitely.
primal scream to get your speed up, run away and heal, repeat
dropping structs on onos:
DOES happen, HAS happened to me while onosing a CC. but onii shouldn't be rushing in alone. luckily i had a charitable fade with me to destroy the building made on me. the building was made on my body, far from my weapon, so i was stuck.
doors and things slammin on you:
tough to do, IMHO. once had it done to me while skulking, thought i could make it to chomp on the tasty marine behind the door.. <SPLAT!>
ah shut up lol
