Going Gorge = Banned?

I have heard that when people become the second gorge they are banned.
Just becaue they are a second gorge.

I'm just wondering if this is a common tatic?
To me I feel that sometimes the second gorge is a life savor.
while one saves up for a hive and help the other gorge build.
I can understand being mad cause there are only 2 people on a team and the both go gorge but.
Full server 2 gorges, and getting banned?

I've never banned anyone for this, although I cannot speak for the other admins here I'd venture to say that most of them wouldn't either.

i do ban commanders though......when you get that 2nd comm its always hard to build stuff...ya know what i mean?

if all the team starts telling him not to groge and he still does it and builds useless stuff i will ban him for 5 minutes...

I havent banned a gorge yet, but I have kicked second Gorges(of course, after I ask them nicely to not be a gorge several times). I truely believe you should only go Gorge if the original gorge asks you to, so that you may accomplish a specific task. Other then that, your hurting your team by being the second Gorge. I feel many players dont understand, that its all about how resources are accumulated for aliens. When your the second gorge, guess what, your eating up resources the first gorge and everyone else! Your intentions may be good but your are doing more harm then good, especially early in the game!!! If your just sitting there saving up for a hive as a second gorge. IMO, your useless, one less teammate who should be attacking the enemy.

Lets face it, NS is a team game. On my server, if you dont play as a team or refuse to respond to the commander or gorges requests. You will get kicked. And if you continue to play by yourself you will be banned. If you dont like it, dont play on ACS!

I have vote_slay.. any member of a team can use it on any other member of their team. After 2 successful votes.. admins can slay without a vote.. I find this works good.. if they get all pi$$y about it .. then we kick or ban..

on my server I don't ban for a second gorge, who I do ban are the go-tards that wait and wait and wait until there are already 1 or 2 gorges before they gorge. It's really damn annoying to go from 0 to 4 gorges in under a minute especially if one of those guys called it at least 10 seconds before he gestates.

once someone does that they're basically fodder for any rage-releasing command I feel like doing. But usually I just verbally assault them over voice comm.

I banned a third gorge last night, 6 players on the team. I had just gone second gorge to get the double res point (atmospheric processing) on Bast. It was specifically made clear to the person concerned that he was a) not to go gorge then b) to evolve back to skulk please then c) to EVOLVE TO SKULK NOW PLZ then d) bye bye

Some people just don't listen. If you don't like the way I admin, don't come to my server. I've got plenty of satisfied customers, and TBH it's my **** server anyway I will run it as I see fit. It's on MY connection, and it's MY server - like it or lump it I'm afraid.

I do try to be reasonable though, I make sure I warn people not to do something enough before I ban them.

I was running the gorge ejection plugin in 1.03, but now in 1.04 I've disabled almost all of my plugins for stability reasons.

We have a rule on our server, clearly worded in console when you first join. ASK before going gorge. If the team says no, then the team has spoken. Its expected you will abide by the team consensus.

In the event that ppl find this simple rule difficult, I usually admin_slay. Repeat offenders get kicked/banned.
