    There was an alien infested texture set released at one point. You could simply layer them on to whatever you custom wall/floor/ceiling textures are.

    Here goes, this technique uses Paintshop Pro 7 and Wally, it works best with 256x256 textures.

    Use Wally to export alienwl3 from the ns.wad, this will be the basis of your infestation.

    Open alienwl3 and the texture you want to infest in PSP.

    Set your foreground style to pattern. Select alienwl3 as your foreground pattern.

    Select the airbrush tool and set the following tool options:
    Shape = Round
    Size = 32
    Hardness = 0
    Opacity = 5
    Step = 2
    Density = 30

    Using this setting cover most the texture with a *very light* layer of infestation grime.

    Set the following tool options:
    Shape = Round
    Size = 16
    Hardness = 0
    Opacity = 30
    Step = 2
    Density = 60

    Use this setting to add blobs of areas you want to be solid infestation.

    Set the following tool options:
    Shape = Round
    Size = 16
    Hardness = 0
    Opacity = 10
    Step = 2
    Density = 30

    Use this setting to go around the edges of the texture (this should help the texture tile nicely).
    Also use this setting to go around the edges of the soild blobs you added earlier to blend them into the texture.

    You might want to use the retouch tool to lighten some highlights or darken some shadows, but you're basically done.

    If you don't have PSP, what's going on here is that your airbrushing solid infestation on top of your un-infested texture. Hope this helps.
