<div class="IPBDescription">hurrah for 9hrs of free-time</div> Yeah my ISP decided it wanted to die today.

For 9hrs....

Anyways, bored out of my skull I decided to do a little 8-bit sig art. I'm beginning to get back to minimalism art and boy have I missed it.

DESCRIPTION TIME!

Sig 1: The window by my room...
A few days ago I saw a sign outside a construction yard for Icon building group (Or something along that nature) They had an extremely simple logo which looks more or less like this sig except that it ran vertically. I messed with the layout slightly and this is the result. Minimalism ahoy.

Sig 2: Alone at the edge of dreams...
I dunno what inspired this, I believe I've watch an anime series too many. It's a little man up on top of a hill, with one hand on a tree during sunset. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sig3: Designer trip-outs in the 23rd century...
I have a gigantic framed Akira poster in my room. It shows a picture of Kaneda approaching his bike. On his jacket there is a picture of a pill. I saw it, took 5 minutes and this is the result.

Comments, do you think I should keep going with this style?

I actually prefer the minimalistic approach, to most of the cluttered drek turned out nowadays by anyone who can grab Photoshop and a few filters. Lookin' good, but you might want to put in something, even simple as a few dots, to break up the empty space in the middle... it has too much visual weight on both ends, and none in the midsection as it stands now. The first two could do without, but the last (pill) really needs something there with the heat of the background color.

Yes minimalism and 8-bit don't get used in sigs enough.

My personal style of signature minimalism is the style you see here (I wish I could find my really old old old ones). 1 side has the text, the other has an picture. It is all drawn from scratch pixel by pixel.
I cheat a little with the background though, on all 3 there is a slight gradient that can only really be seen if your looking at the sig closely.

I can't really think of anything, nor bring myself to add something to the middle to be frank... there's just something about this particular form that I developed that I enjoy <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

2 more on the anarchist side of things

Sig 4: Come see the violence inherent in the system
Monty python quote, we all know what anarchy + bricks equals...
    <img src='http://infrtehsexahhawt.netfirms.com/Sigs/8B/InfViolence.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

Sig 5: Rekindle the fires of my heart
I'm especially proud of this, moreso because I haven't done any 8-bit art in a few years. You got a molitov cocktail ready to be lit, the fuel in the bottle and a nice see-through effect on the glass. hurrah for 8-bit, I've fallen back in love with it.

I think the holes on the brick do not look circular. They need to be wider. Other than that, very nice.

    it is all great work

though I would personaly say to put a glow or even some fire effect on the end of the rag

took me a few to relize it was a molotove (was first thinking about the warmth of getting drunk, didn't like that idea)

Done for Necro, cause necro is a hawt.
And I'm well aware this toaster sucks... especially the cord

Onuma, I'll do one tomorrow. I doubt I'll be able to fit a missing flay pic on it @_0

I never was a fan of the thin sigs. But, if it points out violence inherent in the system........I guess it's good.
