Is there a pic somewhere? I tried the 3D View, but there isn't one.

*shudders*. Sorry, I'm not really a fan of starwars anymore. It was cool in 3rd grade, but now...ehhh...

If you haven't noticed, NS isn't exactly running on the Quake 3 engine.

No, it isn't, but the models can be converted.

And models for games made even today are actually very reasonable and can still be used in an HL engine environment on newer machines. Won't look as good without bumpmapping and such, but it would work.

There are some fabulous stormtroopers for Q3 at polycount. I keep trying to convert them, but I'm terrible at assigning the model to the skeleton at the moment.

Souris, I do believe that the venerable Wolf Kahler knows something about converting Q3 to HL...after all, he did convert an arachnid...not gonna finish the rest of that thought.

N e way, Wolf knows something, which is better then most.

The WH40k guy was also a Q3 model.

    I disposed of the Arachnid.

btw I found some MUCH BETTER WH40k models @ Polycount (they are from Q3A, too. One I found is from UT2k3)

they are worth to be converted for NS!

    WH40k Space Marine (from UT2k3):

    <a href='http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/info/ut2003/neomagimk7/neomagimk7.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/info/...eomagimk7.shtml</a>

    My ref. model: (from Q3A)

    <a href='http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/info/quake3/spacemarine40k/spacemarine40k.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/info/...marine40k.shtml</a>

(includes a model for the "Bolter")

    Or here: (from Q3A)

    <a href='http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/reviews/quake3/astartes/astartes.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/revie.../astartes.shtml</a>

    Another: (from Q3A)

    <a href='http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/reviews/quake3/spacemarine/spacemarine.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/revie...acemarine.shtml</a>

    btw:

    WH40k Terminator Marine: (from Q2)

    <a href='http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/reviews/quake2/terminator/terminator.shtml' target='_blank'>http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/revie...erminator.shtml</a>

    Arachnid (from Q3A):

    <a href='http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/downloads/index.asp?model=889' target='_blank'>http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/downl...x.asp?model=889</a>

    uh... sorry quite OT?

    but I like the Clone Troopers, too. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
