<div class="IPBDescription">Combine it with Bite for many kills</div> OK i've been playing Natural-Selection since day 1 and love it.
We seem to see more and more new people playing every
day (fresh meat <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and i've noticed that as soon
as the second hive goes up, people are jumping at the chance to evolve.
As good as the Fade is..... we don't need 5 of them and 1 Gorge.
So i'm here to enlighten you of the joys of "Skulking".
Whenever I see a Skulk, and we have 2/3 hives up, I very
RARELY see anyone use LEAP. Now I understand that it doesn't do
very much damage, but the key to success is using Leap to confuse your prey.
Example: Last night I saw a Marine refilling his ammo in the centre of the Marine base
on ns_nothing. The base has 5/6 turrets at least and there's only him there. So
I enter from the side nearest the elevator (just round the corner from the vent exit)
and immediately use Leap to get past incoming fire from the Turrets, landing by
the unaware Marines' feet and proceed to chomp his behind until he falls to the floor.
And then quickly Leap outta the base, chuckling to myself and looking for another victim of the
mightly Leap.
Now that attack was executed in about 5 seconds. "BS!" i hear you cry. But I "BS" you not.
Preparation is everything, if you use the "lastinv" (quick switch to last used attack, added in 1.01
I think) correctly, than you can easily switch to Bite in mid-Leap and start chomping as soon as you land.
Leap in - Bite - Leap out, the Skulk's are often too fast for the turrets and if you do get hit, simply
Regen (if you have it) or go find a Defense Turret to heal you.
Leap is also great for getting through the enemy base looking for key structures and safely back out.
Oh and, sometimes you can Leap twice in the air without landing and effectively doubling your height.
Simple yet EXTREMELY effective. Give it a try.

Hold crouch + leap = you don't stick to the walls as you jet by them. Add adrenaline to that and you can FLY down a vent or corridor <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

That can be fun for getting around mines and still being able to confuse a pursuer.
if you have adren, you can double leap and still have enough to bit the guy to death when you reach him.
even in enclosed areas like hallways, if you hold down croutch and double leap, you get going to an obsene top speed. (IMHO, even if you are cut down your 50-100lb corpse hitting the marine at 80mph should kill him, but i digress <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
as a skulk i cherish leap, i rarely die once i have it.
as a marine i hate it, i know im gonna get killed a lot more.
btw if you hold crouch and leap at a marine in a vent you are nearly guaranteed a kill <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> perfect for dealing with hitbox-abusers.
