ive seen a few methods of this, the func_train star method, the scrolling texture method and the animating texture method. only the func_train one seems to look right though.

func_conveyor i believe wouldwork. you would have to corner it off though.

go to the collective website and search for "motion blur" . THIS looks good and aggs something to the startrek effekt.
