A Few Questions...

<div class="IPBDescription">...i hope you can help.</div> I´ll start off by saying that i´m completely new to mapping. Infact, i opened Hammer for the first time 2 days ago. I am a really quick learner so i have managed to make my first ns map. It´s just blocks and stuff yet until i learn more. What i need to know, and i hope you don´t write me off....

1. Problems with RT´s in 1.04. How is that fixed? I placed a few nodes in marine spawn, close together, but not too close and as commander, they get placed randomly on the nozzles or not at all. I know requem managed to fix it in ns_missilecommand, but how?

2. I made a nice hologram for the "Join team" textures with func_illusionary with rendermode Additive and fx amount 255. It looks really nice and transparent, but when i approach it, it disappears...?? IE, it disappears before i walk into the info_join_team entity, which is directly under it and it reappears when i step back again. Any ideas?

    Hellbilly I had the same problem with holograms and was not able to fix it, just make it Normal/Additive/255 for the best appearance, anyway.

    The rez nozzles problem is not one easily fixed, I simply placed them in random grid coordinates (near their original location)until I was able to build all of them, and even then some of them are a little picky about being built (you click one and it builds another one, or you have to click DIRECTLY on the nozzle itself to build) At least they all work now, tho.

    I wish flayra would give us mappers this kind of information before or at least WHEN he changes this stuff. It makes it really difficult for us when we are constantly having to troubleshoot problems that are created by a patch and are related to mapping only, but not directly related to current gameplay.

    I forgot 1 question......What´s the best way too make info_location? How do you guys do it?

    Make it encompass the entire room, it can overlap everything as long as it stays within the boundary set by the walls (worldbrushes, not func_walls)

    Hmmm, i never seem to run out of question´s.....lol

    It look´s like i can´t get the scoreboard up in the ready room. Is there some setting i need to make for that to happen? It only comes up when i have cheat´s on. Is it because i´m the only player on the "server"?

    Something with -dev mode, Im not totally sure which part.
