im confused...
i have a PS2..gta vice city is boring, its not as ground breaking from gta3 as i thought it should of been...
completed all my other games, got the two towers, its a bit too short...and its all about the fighting..would of been nice if they used "Tolkiens vision" (read the books) and not just make it into a repetative slash em' up.....
sony still havent got round to getting broadband up..its been what? two years?...
gamecube? pathetic really...its a kids machine..i dont wanna go about as some fat plumber getting lost for hours....
i was seriously thinking of trading my ps2 for an XBOX (mainly for halo). Im not gonna get it for PC because it just wouldnt run well on mine, also some of the games i was planning to get ps2 for, went over to xbox (really **** me off at first)
so as you can see im very tempted to ditch sonys box....but im having difficulty in parting..having been a long time playstation 1/2 owner am i a traitor???.....and for xbox you have to pay £30 for a remote control to watch dvds...how **** is that??
HELP ME!?

EDIT: I actually thought you were being serious in your post until I read the part about you trading in a PS2 for an XBox on your own free will. People actually think the XBox is good? Haha! COMEDY GOLD!
Sure Mario Sunshine may seem like a childish title but if you scratch below the childesh primary colour exterior you find a game so adictive it's infuriating.
Rogue Leader is old but amazing (provided you like Star Wars.)
And I'm quite sure that Eternal Darkness or Resident Evil are "kids" titles.
But then I have a Gamecube, I'm biased!
DAM YOU CELL-SHADING TECHNOLOGYYYY!!!!
The games cost almost nothing, and are in many cases the exact same games you would pay full price to play on other systems. The homebrew and emulator scene is the best, and to top it all off, you don't need any modchip to run them.
And as for XboX: PWNXOR! Halo, Halo 2, Doa3, DoaXBV, JSRF(cell shading=da sex), a DVD drive that works, braodband, superior graphical hardware, controllers that don't feal like I'm going to break them every time I play, Linux, and the fact that you can use it to beat intruders over the head and knock them out make this the system of choice. Buy it. You won't be sorry.
And you could always go with a DC as someoneElse suggested. It's got good games, a ot of 1vs1 fighters, if you like those kind of games, and if you're smart you can get any games you want for free(but it would be wrong) off teh internet.
Just get an XboX or a DC already!
Halo 2 is out?
and Doa3 is good! The whole Doa series is actually god, but Doa3 is god with better graphics. And the chicks help, I won't lie to you. I'm a sad little nerd who will never get any, but that still don't mean I can't enjoy the game for the gameplay. And what's wrong with hentai?
If you have no money AND no friends, then I say get Gamecube. Cause that little box has some seriously fun games on it, especially in the single player department (which you'll be playing, with your lack of friends). Metroid Prime is quite possibly the best single player game ever conceived, Mario Sunshine is terribly addictive (and friggin hard!), the Resident Evil series is running strong and Eternal Darkness is fun to play because it really messes with your mind. You can also pick up Pikmin and Super Smash Bros Melee in the bargain bin, and both provide a lot of fun.

Buy The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring for the PC. Much better, and based exclusively off the book. As for consoles, I would say XBOX, just because they are all so crummy when compared to the one and only computer. You do get Metroid Prime with the GC, though.
...
AHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAH
Thank you.
What the hell could possibly possess you to do something so stupid? XBOX has ONE good game: HALO. Only one. That's it. All. Nothing else. End.
If you MUST trade it or get something new get a Gamecube, Sure there ARE some stupid kiddy games (animal crossing, pikmin, wtf?)
But there are also some great ones. SSB: Melee, Metroid Prime, RE Zero, If you like resident evil, I really dont o_o.
If you're an RPG fan, FF: Chrystal Chronicles is coming out for GC and only GC, and They're also making Skies of Arcadia for GC (remake? redo? sequel? no clue).
XBOX is an all around failure. It's microsoft, every game that will be on XBOX either already is or will be released for PC. You'd probably spend less upgrading your computer than an XBOX o_o
I'll buy your PS2 for $100 ^_^ $130 if you throw in Vice City :P
I'd stick with the Gamecube, mainly for that and Metroid Prime. Right Doom? RIGHT?!

Oh yeah, I forgot my entire game collection for a moment. Whoops!
Oh yeah I would say Metroid Prime but that isn't out yet in the UK.
And Luigi's mansion is fun! (But rent it, it's very short!)
Think about the actual gameplay before you think about the graphics or atmosphere of the game: it's an RTS that's been broken down to the most basic level possible. And yet it's still a blast to play.
