How the hell do i get a custom avatar, i've tried so many times, but they come out blank, PLEASE HELP ME!!!

    Make sure it is uploaded to a webspace whose provider allowes image hosting/sharing/etc. Places like geocities or tripod don't.

    If you search the forums a bit, I know that there are some tricks discussed on how to trick the sites to allow you to do this.. something like renaming the image with a "txt" extension or something.

    also, this board's custom icon url checker seems to be case sensitive, so there <b>is</b> a difference between "Icon.jpg" and "icon.jpg"

    Actually, anywhere on the internet the part after the .com/.net/.org/.whatever is case-sensitive. That's why everything should always be made in lower-case.

    ...and the tricking of the freesites does not apply to avatars.     For some reason Shadow, I can see your avatar from home, but anywhere else (Ive tried two other places) it does not display.
