I know many of you are familiar with this comic, and we even have models tributing Tycho and Gabe in The Opera.  I also understand that there are probably a few people that either don't read <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com" target="_blank">PA</a> regularly, or, god forbid, don't know what it is.

Occasionally PA has some strips that are serious, and don't have a single wang joke.  For example, recently, PA ran a <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com/view2002-04-29rl.html" target="_blank">strip</a> and assiocated <a href="http://www.penny-arcade.com/news2002-04-29.html" target="_blank">news</a> update expressing an opinion I myself have been trying to drive across to you useless masses for a while.  Thankfully, Tycho and Gabe do a much better job of it than I.

    My views on this are pretty basic. Sure i understand they gotta eat and more power to them but what about all the 12 year old kids that watch the movies and etc that lack a job and a credit card so they are unable to see these movies. I am not sure the cost of keeping these up but i wouldnt mind more ads if they kept it free but if they really feel the need to turn to a pay to watch site then more power to them, but I for one dont have money to be paying 20 bucks a month to watch movies ;|

    I think what made people mad most was the fact that gamespot was the last place to go to get gaming movies since ign also turned into a pay site. And lord behold, a few weeks(Was it weeks, i forgot have been to ign since it turned) it goes and does the same thing.

    Although I'm rather indifferent about Gamespot (because I don't really even know about them, or care) this still applies to many things, such as the abundance of warez conversations going on in the irc channel recently.

    they weren't "where can I get xxx program?" conversations, they were about the morality of warez in general.
