<div class="IPBDescription">Beat this</div> My sister recently got a Samsung T100 mobile (cell) phone
and with it she got a FREE GameBoy Advance (which she's barely
touched so i've claimed it as my own <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> )
It's great on long toilet visits and when I can't be bothered
pulling myself out of bed.

So I put this question all you readers.......

What's the best FREEBIE you've ever got?

My friend gave me a dilapidated stick of 32mb RAM. That's the best free thing I have ever gotten.

A friend of mine gave me a soundcard, back when hardly any computers had em. That was pretty cool.

    Shoddy, run-down, decrepit.

m-w.com beats dictionary any day of the skulk.

A friend traded me NWN (Neverwinter Nights) for my free (won a contest) copy of MMIX (Might and Magic IX). I hated the latter, and am now addicted to the former.

I found a nickel on the sidewalk once. Guess who was running that contest. YOu guessed it, the Nickel Gnomes.
And thus began my lifelong love affair with Nickels.

A cell-phone in a raffle, which is now a paperweight since it was really cheap and won't (and shouldn't) work in the US.

Thank you both for running up my future tax and insurance payments. I'll greatly appreciate it when I'm scraping by on a 'just out of college' salary in a couple years.

I'm going to be brave here and say a 300 celeron with 96 meg of ram is not going to to be the best machine for running an NS server on.

My original reason for posting in this thread was to whine, because I have _never_ won anything in my life, or got anything free with anything else and it REALLY sucks D:

your welcome greedo, I to will be making that almighty "just out of college" dollar in a couple of years, and with rising unemployment rates and the downturn of the economy, I fear for my moneymaking skills evenmore. But it is the best free thing I ever got, especially since I never have any money to my name.

I won one of those bread-baking-stone thingies at a block party from one of those snotty rich-a$$ note dollar signs to denout richness) "Pampered Chef" booths. It works great for cooking frozen pizza, or killing someone with a stone frisbee

Excellent, you lucky sod. When are you gonna be out next?

When my sister was born, my parents had my luck surgically removed and implanted into my sister. I have never won ****, where as, my sister cannot do a raffle without winning somthing. Example...

On holiday in cos last year ona package tour. On the coach back from a night out, the rep does a raffle. My sister get 5 tickets, looks at them, and says "this will get 1st prize" holding ticket 39. Guess what comes up first. Rep almost went into shock...

This of course plays hell with the fact that I don't belive in luck. And I have still never won ****. Go figure
