    Just to answer your question OG17, it's 5/6, not 3/4, guess you sort of deserve a bit of an answer after all this...

    What do you base this on?
    The changelog? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

But I havent tried the new regen. But ive sat in umbras and never been hit, and other times ive been killed instantly by lmg fire. I think it picks a random # and decides if it goes through. Not like like stop 3, let one in. And does anyone know if theres an umbra between a marine and lerk, no one actually inside of it, if it stops bullets? I know for the lerk on the bottom it says umbra. So does the cloud itself do the bullet stopping or is it the effect of being in a cloud, In Umbra, that does the #'s?<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    I think umbra ONLY blocks bullets that normally hit you if you ARE in umbra.

    I mean, if there is a marine shoting a lerk in umbra and a bullet doesn't hit the lerk but hits a fade that is out of umbra, this bullet doesn´t check the block condition even if this bullet passes through umbra. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    are you saying that it doesn't count bullets that pass through the cloud, or miss? So its only blocking hits to someone when it says they are in umbra?

    Thats interesting. I would be curious to know for sure on that, because if its counting all bullets that are in a certain radius of the lerk, then the misses will also use up some of those 5 of 6 shots...

    Yeah, I was under the impression that umbra only had ANY effect for people actually INSIDE the umbra... For example, you can't rush in, drop an umbra on the turret farm, then stand outside the umbra spiking them. You'll get chewed up. You'd need to umbra yourself and stay there to gain any benefit.

    From my experience, bullets can pass thru an umbra and hit things on the other side just fine. When you're providing cover for the fades, you have to put the umbra in the spot where the fades are standing... not just in the doorway.

    It's not like the umbra is a big nerf <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ball that absorbs 4/7 (or however many) of the bullets passing through it... It's more like a skin-level shield for the people inside it. This also means that you can't drop an umbra and then use it for cover as you run away. Once you're outside of it, you're meat.

    Anyhoo, my $0.02
