Is it possible to kill a full health marine with one skulk bite?? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

I thought that there is no hitpoints like CS. Today i died and several my team members died after one skulk bite. I think that skulk were cheating, but i am not sure. In early game that skulk frags were 22/2. I am pretty sure that he killed me with only one bite.

No, you can't be killed in one bite, but it's possible to get two bites in fast enough that there's little difference. This only works if the marine in question is standing still. The two bites are very obviously seperate when the marine is moving.

I thought so.
He killed me about 3-5 times while i was moving, jumping, strafing and shooting at him like mad. And i wasn't the only one who he killed. Once he got three marines in about 2-3 seconds.

I have played NS since v.1.0 and i haven't EVER killed a full health marine with one bite or seen ever happened so.

AFAIK, you can kill a marine with one skulk leap. You have to do it from above, I think. Or, if you can manage it, from below.

There is a bug if HLGaurd is on the server skulk's can bite very rapidly while moving.

Comprox educated me on that point after I had gotten a jetpack...........

maybe the skulk was just super l337. I've seen it happen before.

Yeah, maybe, but it was pretty odd because he just jumped middle of marines and started to bite. And they did die very fast. the reason why is the skulk bite radius is about a 250degree arc he can bite from the sides and do just as much damage. but then again I have been seeing more bouncing skulks that can one hit kill. I tried it and just using normal jump and bite work pretty much the same. anything in the upper chest area seems to count as a "headshot"

If my memory serves me right there isn't any "headshot". There are just two different amounts of damage you can make: normal and none. Biting at the head or feet usally make no damage at all. Try eating a marine from above or belove in a vent or a ladder.

You can (and get accused of mad h4x) get a near instantaneous kill by jumping <i>past</i> a marine, biting all the way. Because of the high angle of 'fire' for the bite, you'll get two bites as you jump past, both off target to your screen, but both hitting the marine.

To the marine, you'll jump, miss him completely & then he'll die. You then get rampant aimbot accusations, but you do own for the next map until someone else works it out <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Yeah...well i have been lucky once. In ns_hera there are that tunnel next to marine base which is pretty dark. There was 4 marines coming and i ran in and jumped middle of them. I couldn't see very well what hell i was biting <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> , but after few seconds they were dead and even after that i kept biting until i realized that i got them all <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
