Oc Targetting

Snap-firing?
A few times recently, I've noticed something strange about the way OC's target marines.
On ns_nothing, a small OC farm was built around the res chamber at the back of the Silo hive (just in front of the Quad Lift). While I stood there as a Fade, waiting for the Def towers to repair my armour, a Marine appeared in the opening of the vent up high to the left of the Quad Lift entrance. The OC's opened fire, but strangely, they all fired their first volley at the Quad Lift, i.e. straight forwards.
So, I turned my acid rockets on him, and saw the OC's finish him off as he remained within the vent.
It's as if marines had come down the quadlift previously, so the OC's were still "aiming" at the Quadlift, even though to me it seems like they should be able to fire in any direction without having to 'aim' like marine turrets.
Also, it seems strange that the OC's fired before they were aiming at the marine. There was no marines in the Quadlift that could have triggered the first volley, as I and another Fade at the top checked.
Any thoughts? Ideas? Is this a bug perhaps?

The first shot from each went the opposite way down the corridor (away from me).
Maybe they remember where they lost sight of their last target or something. So when they pick up a new target, they begin firing before they are 'locked on'.
I never have a prob with Marines jumping over my wol's. That is if I have finished building them. If Im in the process of building a wol then yea Marines will sometimes jump over it. Do you stack your oc's? Do you place 2 or 3 more oc's a bit behind the wol so just in case a Marine does manage to get over it he still gets killed?

Yes, I usually stack my wol's. One thing about stacking though, if you put a OC on top of another OC, does it make the lower OC unable to fire? I've never really looked into it, as what I tend to do is build the 2nd level OCs atop the DCs behind the 1st level OCs
As for building a few OCs behind the wall, good idea that Teufel Eldritch, and good to see a familiar face from FA here too
O yeah, and when I do stack, and when I have extra resources to blow, I try to put one or two sensories on top of teh stack, that way, when a JPer comes in real low, he gats parasited. Finally, a use for sensories besides to get cloaking.
I'm thinking either this is the case or OC's really cant track fast moving targets well, since you can circle strafe and kill them with a welder and not get hit.

They also make cheap elevator blockers, stack them on top of D chambers for a little bit of shielding, stack them around res towers, make a few to hide behind, they have alot of uses, most of witch is only because they aren't O or D chambers so you can go crazy with them ;-)

They should make an actual chamber for that purpose! The blocking chamber. It'll just be a really big chamber, that you put in front of stuff to defend it, or in front of yourself during a firefight in order to recouperate. That would be so great...
