<div class="IPBDescription">The end of john wayne heroics?</div>From the look of it, This mod is turing into a "My way or the Highway" situation, in which if a experianced vet, a guy who knows what he's doing, or has a style that works better on his own, will get brutally punished by the commander and team for not folowing directions.
I think that a little bit of individualism ought to be encouraged, kindof like kudos. If a guy does good on his own, give him a cookie. If a guy follows orders, give him a cookie. If a guy screws around and messes up the efforts of the team, but isn't productive on his own either, give him a waypoint to the middle of a herd of bobs.

I don't think bobs travel in herds. good idea though.
btw, teamplay rulez
Think about what happens in every alien vs. humans movie when the humans decide to split up. Would you really want to be that guy all alone on a dark ship with strange and deadly creatures running amok?
but you cant say no to laying down some covering fire and blowing the hell out of some aliens
both will be fun and i just had an idea cy in that forum
Im just concerned about the ability of a commander to relay his wishes to the team. It's not so much following orders as it is being able to easily say them.
As for relaying orders... he does it like any RTS player would. Lassos a few units and gives them a Move or Attack command. The selected marines see a waypoint appear, which disappears once they reach the destination.
Speaking of which... are there different movement options, like Starcraft's "move" vs. "attack-move" or straight-up "attack"?
